Awakenings - Part One

Make Peace Not War

I watched as Holly left her house and realised that this was the only chance that I would get to try and salvage anything from this.

Inside the house I could hear two women talking, the vibrations told me that I was dealing with two very strong hunters and that the chance of success was indeed slim, but never knock a trier.

The door was suddenly thrust open and I found myself face to face with a ghost from the past.
We eyed each other before the shock of who I was finally awoken a memory within her.

“Come and look who we have here?”
I watched as Hollys mother came to the door.

“Who is it?”
“Our esteemed Enemy who is calling herself Pamela Four”
“The Vampire”

I bowed in her presence, I was already starting to feel the strong vibes connecting from the two of them.

“Why are you here?”
“I came to make peace”
“Don’t be ridiculous, there can never be peace between vampire and hunter”.
“Im trying to be civilised, wont you hear me out”.

I took a step forward but was stopped by a hand on my chest.
Under normal circumstances a human hand would be fatal and my body chemistry would cover it in acid but these hunters possessed powers which only the highest order were able to deal with, I was close to being one of them but I was too weak for the fight.

“You can come in but it is not an invite, make any rash moves and I will fill you full of lead and cover your body in so much holy water you will feel like all your senses are on fire”.

“Point taken”.
I watched as the two women sandwiched me between them, they were a very untrusting pair……..we sat down, myself across from the two of them.
“Ok Pamela, say what you need to then leave”.

“Put it simply, I have agents in the capitol…..loyal followers from the revised Brotherhood which you know about and also humans who are too weak for the fight”.
“And what are you proposing?”
“Give Holly to me and I will make her one of my soldiers, she wont have to suffer”.

I watched as her mother rose to confront me.

“You took my daughters virginity you vile piece of shit, what makes you think I would do such a thing?”

I paused …..
“Because I will unleash the full force upon you and your precious girl and all your loyal hunter gatherers will be wiped from the face of the planet”.

“Says you who underestimated the two of us because Penny here was the one to remove your undead filth from my daughters system”
I turned and smiled big.

“How did It feel to fuck your chosen leader?”

Penny shied back, I had hit a nerve….
I knew that it was more than just removing all trace of me, I could tell that she enjoyed the experience and would gladly do it again.

“If I had known she was the chosen one then things would have been different but I need to build my blood stocks, you know that”
“Yes I know, and we hunters have the treaty in place”.

“The treaty?”
“Yes Pamela, I thought you would know that we have spoken with the brethren already and been granted free passage to Rome”.
I would be having words with Erica, this was news to me and nothing good could come of it.
“Oh well if that is the case then I will see all of you in Rome, by my understanding the treaty will cease the moment you step foot onto the sacred land”.

“That’s right”.
I got up and walked out the door much to the shocked amusement of the two of them, besides I had a feeling that they were going to be very heated words very shortly and my delicate ears would rather be spared that.
