Awakenings - Part One

Deception

It was clearly obvious to even the most stupid that the option they were going to choose didn’t involve clothes, I could only hope that Madeline managed to learn all that Dawn could teach and not just amazing sexual energy and prowess.

I left them to it but warned that the deadline was very soon and then we would all be going to Rome to commence this great undertaking.

Walking out of the house I crossed the road and made my way back home to find out what I needed to do next.
My mind was elsewhere and I failed to see her, it was the fact that we were now lying in a heap on the floor that I took notice.

“Veronica”

She was dressed unusually, an old fashioned robe,  her hair in a messy bun and the absence of sunglasses made me forget that she was not human anymore.

“Holly, how are you?”
I backed away realising that I had no protection with me.
“Keep back Veronica”

“Why, don’t you love me anymore?”

I blinked my eyes in sheer shock, had she forgotten everything that had happened and as I looked closer to her, there was something different.
“Veronica, we split up remember?”
“Of course I remember but I am here because I need your help”
“My help?”

“Pamela turned me but it was against my will and that is something that her kind cannot do, there is always a losing of mind and a consent before the change…..I did not consent, I want my old life back”.

“And what do you propose I do?”

“Not you, only your mother has the means and ways to change all that has happened”.

“I thought back to what she had told me and how Doctor Penny had driven the demon from my blood”.

I so desperately wanted to believe her motives were sincere and then she did something unexpected, something that she had never done before.
She broke down and began to cry.
This girl who I had grown to love was weak and frail.

“I will help you Veronica, come back to the house with me”.

“Your very kind, I don’t deserve any of this”.

I looked into her eyes and saw the compassion.
“Quickly, follow me and we will get this sorted once and for all”.
Veronica stayed close to me, it felt good to have a normal conversation with her.
“How did you escape her clutches?”
“Pamela went to see your mum about ending this feud”
“Why?”
“Because you are the key to it all, the power inside of you will destroy all the vampires”

“Surely that’s a good thing”

“Maybe, maybe not……All I know is that many will die before that happens”.
“What of the other woman, Erica?”
“Oh Pamela sent her to collect one of the new specimens, I have been biding my time to escape, especially when I realised that I was expendable”.
“Don’t worry, this will all be over soon”.

We got back to the house, the front door was locked.

I took the key from my pocket and observed that Veronica was looking agitated and kept shifting her eyes.
“Something wrong?”
“Just a feeling that I am being watched”

“Don’t worry we will have this all under control very soon”.
I opened the door wide and Veronica barged past me into the house.

“You really are afraid?”

“Not anymore, I feel safe here”.
I had hoped that mum was home and just as I was about to switch the tv on and make some lunch I heard movement from above.

I walked to the bottom of the stairs and listened.

I could definitely hear something and decided to investigate then felt Veronica tugging on my jersey.
“I think there might be an intruder”.
“Im coming with you, just in case”.
“Ok Veronica, whatever you say”.

I cautiously walked up the stairs with Veronica behind me and approached the room belonging to my mother, I put my ear to the door and listened.
I could hear moans as though someone was having sex and suddenly I felt embarrassed to what I might find.

The reason for the locked door was now evident but I suspect that my mum was not expecting me back for some time.

I turned to Veronica.
“Sounds like someone is having a good time”
“Let’s go inside and find out who it is”
I was shocked by these words, the old veronica was back!!
I had no time to stop her from opening the door and then I covered my mouth in shock at what I saw.

Mum was naked in bed and Penny was straddling her, she too was naked.

“What the?”
Neither woman made any attempt to cover themselves up but Penny looked to the door, her face darkened when she saw Veronica.

“You don’t seem that shocked”

Mum covered herself up, she was clearly a little bit more guarded at showing her body off to her daughter.
“You had to find out sooner or later”
“Find out what?”
“Me and your mother have been lovers for a very long time”.
My head span at this revelation.
“But more to the point what is ‘she’ doing here”?
I turned to Veronica and her expression changed, she suddenly lunged herself at Penny.
Penny turned and directed pepper spray at Veronica who met the full force and was soon incapacitated.

“Why did you do that?”

“Because she is a vampire, more to the point what are you doing letting her enter the house?”

I explained the circumstance.

“She duped you, it was an attempt to gain access and now that you have this house is no longer safe”.

“What about Veronica?”

She was lying on the floor unconscious.

“She cannot cause any harm, the pepper spray contained holy water……she will be out cold for a few hours”.

“Im sorry, she sounded so sincere and spoke about wanting to have this curse removed”.

“Im sorry too Holly but you cannot trust a vampire, even if one of them used to be your friend”.

Mum didn’t utter a word just sat back and listened to all that was going on.
I couldn’t deny that the sight of two naked women in close proximity wasn’t having an effect on me, even if one of those happened to be my mother.

I took hold of Veronica who seemed to have had all the life drained out of her and was light as a feather.
I began to pick her up.

“Take her downstairs and we will deal with her soon”.

I turned back to the door.
“Don’t be in such a hurry, go and give my mum another couple of orgasms, she sure sounded happy from what I heard”.

Mum opened her mouth in shock at what I said, I smiled back at her.
