The Journey Begins

(dance practice room, Minjae POV)

I am so glad Jaeyeon didn't get into it with Su-Hee back at school during lunch. Breaking up their fights was hard than taming a lion. Since school is over with, me and Jaeyeon went to the building with our fellow trainees so we can start training.

My sis was with the girls in the singing practice room, and I was in the dance practice room with the guys. Eunhyuk opens a letter from JYP and read it:

"Dear male trainees, this is your manager, JYP. I am giving you an assignment to do as a group. You guys are to create your own choreography to whatever song you want. It has to be original and everyone must participate in making the dance."

"I don't think it will be hard," Bong-Un says. I say, "Yeah. We should get started with picking out a song." Kwang-soo says, "There is this one song my older cousin likes to listen to a lot. It's called 'Swalla' by Jason Derulo."

He plays the song and we all start jamming out to it. T.J. says, "Pretty cool song. I think we should make the song and dance short so we can broadcast it on our trainee special." "Special?" I ask.

Adam says, "Yes, because you and your twin sister are new trainees, JYP wants to introduce you guys to the public after we work on our assignments." "Okay," I said. We soon get to work on our assignment for JYP for our special.

(vocal room, Jaeyeon POV)

Once we got our letter from JYP, and the girls told me about the trainee broadcast, we get to work on our assignment, which is to do a vocal cover to any song by the JYP artists. So we decided to do Twice's "Like Ooh Ahh." It was pretty easy for us to get a part, since there's nine of us girls, and I got Jihyo's part, since I have amazing vocals.

"Since we're doing to cover of the singing, we should do the cover of the dance as well to the song to make it performance worthy," says Luna, Tzuyu's younger cousin from Taiwan. I say, "Good idea Luna. We should start practicing the singing."

We picked out the instrumental and put it into the CD player, and started singing to the song. Once I was singing, everyone's eyes nearly popped out of their head. They were surprised at how well I was hitting the high notes. The song ends, and Bre, our Japanese-American gymnast trainee, says, "Wow, I'm impressed at how well you can hit those high notes Jaeyeon."

"Thanks," I said. Seoyeon says, "I think the public will love it. Including Eunhyuk." Covering Seoyeon's mouth, I say, "Shut your mouth Seoyeon!" "We know you're in love with Eunhyuk, Jaeyeon," says Chae-Lee, "stop trying to hide it." Just then, we saw Su-Hee walk into the room saying, "Yeah Jaeyeon, quit hiding it."

"Shut up Su-Hee," I said, "why are you here when you should be working on your acting?" Su-Hee says, "JYP told me to ask each trainee group about their assignments so he knows what's going on." "We're performing Twice's 'Like Ooh Ahh' for our televised broadcast," Natty says. "Okay," Su-Hee says.

"We're about to work on the dance too," says Mihyung. Su-Hee says to us, "Okay. I'm going to tell JYP you guys are good too. Oh, and Jaeyeon." I look at her when she calls my name and when she says, "You better shape up if you don't want to lose Eunhyuk. Probably to me." When she leaves, I was mumbling some terrible things about her under my breath.

"You okay?" Bre asks. I nod abd say, "Yeah. Just got a bit mad." "I forgot to mention," Chae-Lee says, "Jaeyeon and Su-Hee hate each other." Bre then asks, "Why?" "Do you remember what happened between Su-Hee's mother and Jaeyeon's parents?" Jewel asks.

After a while of thinking, Bre says, "Oh. When Suzy tried to get back at JB and Minyeon because of what JB did to her at Minyeon's birthday party?" "Yep," says Young-Ki, "and because Suzy tried to spread false rumors, she was put on a five month probation as punishment. Su-Hee eventually found out and still blames Jaeyeon and her family."

"Sometimes she even likes to tick off Jaeyeon by getting all clingy towards Eunhyuk," says Chae-Lee, "even though Su-Hee likes someone else." "Who does she like?" Luna asks. I say, "We don't know. But now, we should practice the dance." Everyone nods as we go into a separate dance practice room to work on our routine.

(Im residence, Minjae POV)

Since we were going to be training a lot, me and Jaeyeon packed most of our belongings so we can move into the dorms with our fellow trainees. I brought my suitcase downstairs and say, "Okay, that's the last of my luggage." "I got mine too!" my older twin says, bringing her stuff downstairs as well. Uncle Jackson, who was sitting in the kitchen, says, "Okay. Me an she rest of your uncles will help you with your luggage."

Uncle Mark goes to the rental van to pop open the trunk. Then Uncle Yugyeom, Uncle BamBam, and Uncle Junior help me and Minyeon carry our luggage. Appa and Minyoon walk up to us. "I'm gonna miss you Unnie and Oppa," Minyoon says, giving me her sad puppy dog face.

Jaeyeon bends down and says, "Don't worry Yoonie (Jaeyeon's nickname for Minyoon) me and Oppa will call as much as we can, and we'll be living a short distance from here." "Which means you can visit us," I say, picking up Minyoon. Appa says, "I hope you have everything you need for the dorm."

"Where's Eomma and Jaemin?" I asked. Appa says, "Jaemin has his taekwondo tournament tonight, so your mother had to go with him, but she did tell me to tell you she and Jaemin will miss you guys." "The last luggage is in and secured," Uncle Youngjae said. We hugged our father and little sister, hopping into the van with Uncle Mark, Uncle Jackson, and Uncle Junior.

Since the van was packed, Uncle Yugyeom, Uncle Youngjae, and Uncle BamBam are staying with Appa and Minyoon for a while. When we leave, me and Jaeyeon waved bye to them. Uncle Mark asks, "You guys doing well during training?" "Yes we are Uncle Mark," I say, "our groups have separate assignments for our televised trainee broadcast coming up soon."

"JYP told me about it. He said that they were pretty great ideas," Uncle Junior says. Jaeyeon asks, "Uncle Jackson. When we get a vacation, can you and our other Got7 uncles take us, Appa, Eomma, Jaemin, and Minyoon to Lotte World?" "Sure thing," says Uncle Jackson, "You earn it for working hard on your auditions and training." Me and my twin sis were cheering like kids in a candy store.

Just then, we arrived to the dorms. After getting our luggage onto carts, Uncle Jackson took me to my room. I found out I was bunking with Eunhyuk and Jinseok. Once Uncle Jackson left, Eunhyuk said, "Your bed is over there Minjae." "Thanks," I say, walking to my bed. Jinseok asks, "Dude. What was up with your twin sister at lunch?" I then ask, "What do you mean?"

"Yeah, I want to know as well," Eunhyuk says, "because when I was congratulating you guys, she turned red and stuttered to me." Lying, I say, "I have no clue what you're talking about. Honest." If my older twin sister knew I told Eunhyuk that she has a crush on him, she'll kill me. Smirking, Jinseok says in a singing tone, "You know something that we don't."

"Ani. Ani. I don't," I say. Eunhyuk grabs his phone and says, "You gotta tell us sometime Minjae. Or I can call Chae-Lee and ask-." "NO!" I exclaim, leaping towards him to grab his phone, "I mean. It's pretty late now. We should go to sleep."

"Fine," they say. Jinseok says, "We'll still find out one way or another Im Minjae." We change into our pajamas, cut out the light, and go to sleep. I was so excited to continue with my training, and I'm pretty sure Jaeyeon is too.
