One Way or Another

(Jaeyeon POV)

"I can't believe that darn Su-Hee," I said in an annoyed tone, "Always trying to blame me and my family for her mother's actions, and trying to make me jealous by flirting with Eunhyuk Oppa!" "Calm down girl, and let's go," Chae-Lee says. Luna says, "We're all starving."

We also stop by a pizza place to pick up three trays of boneless chicken and six large pizzas. Just then, we saw Minjae and Eunhyuk at the entrance of the building with some snacks.

I was going, "Eunhyuk Oppa. Pa. Pa...." and about to fall to my knees until Chae-Lee says, "Control yourself, woman! Go say hi to him." "Come on girl," Luna says, "one way or another, you gotta tell him how you feel." "Hush it, will you?" I asked, and groaned, "Ugh! Fine. Let's say hi, but that's it."

We walked up to Eunhyuk and Minjae and I say, "Hi Eunhyuk Oppa. Bye Eunhyuk Oppa," and attempted to run into the building until Luna grabs the back of my shirt, and pulls me towards her, waving her finger in front of my face and pointed to Eunhyuk. I stuttered a little then say, "Hey, what you up to Eunhyuk Oppa and little bro?"

"Getting snacks for our group," Eunhyuk says. Minjae asks, "Noona. You okay?" "I'm fine," I say, "I was just still a bit irritated from almost malling Su-Hee." "Typical," my younger twin says, "well since we're all together, how about we eat this food together." We nod and enter the building.

(dance practice room, Minjae POV)

Both groups got together as we chow down on the food we bought. Just then, we saw Appa, Eomma, and Uncle Junior at the door. "You guys got food?" Appa asked us. I said, "Yeah, it's break time Appa." He and Uncle Junior grab a slice of our pizza.

Eomma says, "Jaebum, Jinyoung. Stop eating the kids' food." "Relax Eomma," Jaeyeon says, "It's okay." "We have plenty to share," T.J. said to our mother. I said, "Are you guys watching our show?" "We are indeed son," said Eomma as she grabbed some pepero.

"Actually," Uncle Junior said as he ate our chicken, "we'll be judging and scoring your assignments on the show tomorrow." "So make sure you work very hard," said Appa, drinking some coke. We all nod and continue eating our food.

We went to the dorm to get ready for bed so we can be rested for tomorrow. Just as I get out of the bath and put my pajamas on, I saw Chae-Lee in our dorm talking to Jinseok and Eunhyuk. I was panicking internally while biting my nails.

"Oh hey Minjae," Chae-Lee said to me, "I was just telling Eunhyuk and Jinseok about what was going on with Jaeyeon at lunch yesterday." I screamed and said, "CHAE-LEE!" Then they laughed at me and Eunhyuk said, "Relax bro, we were just messing with you." "But hey, the look on your face was priceless!" Jinseok said.

I sighed in relief and said, "Thank goodness. If Jaeyeon were to find out we told you something else, she'd kill me." "We respect you and your twin's privacy," Eunhyuk said. Chae-Lee says, "Well good luck tomorrow. I have to hit the hay." "Tell Jaeyeon Noona I said good luck," I said. Chae-Lee nods and says, "Good night boys," and then leaves. We all soon go to bed for tomorrow.

(the next day, Jaeyeon POV)

Before going on, Minjae and I were getting our makeup done by Eomma. She put the final touches on Minjae and said, "There you go my angels. All dressed and ready for your first televised event as trainees." "Thank you Eomma," we said. Hugging us, Eomma softly cried tears of joy.

I said, "Eomma. Are you okay?" "Ne," she said happily, "It's just my babies are growing up so fast. And it feels as if it was yesterday when you were my two little piggies in your first grade play." "We love you Eomma," Minjae says. We each gave our mother a kiss on the cheek and went on stage.

After the director says action, JYP is standing on stage with us and says, "Welcome Republic of Korea to the first performance challenge in Project JYP. This show is to help determine the positions our trainees will be in with their groups. Introduce yourselves trainees." We all introduce ourselves to everyone on the camera, and me and Minjae get pulled towards the front.

"Right here with me are two special trainees," said JYP, "Im Jaeyeon and Im Minjae, the fraternal twins of JB from Got7 and makeup artist Im Minyeon. They are the first boy girl twins to work in the Kpop industry." Soon, he told the audience our acts.

Minjae and his group were dancing to "Swalla" by Jason Derulo. Towards the end of the song, I saw Minjae do a solo dance. After applauding, the girls and I get on stage to do our version of Twice's "Like Ooh Ahh." We get our applause as JYP gets on stage and says, "I hope you enjoyed that. Now we're gonna see which group won."

We saw a bar graph showing the number of votes we get, and surprisingly, the boys beat us. Maybe it was Minjae 's solo dance that won the audience's hearts.

After we got done filming, I went to Minjae with two bottles of water, handing a bottle to him, and said, "Congrats Miji." "Thanks sis," Minjae said to me, "I didn't think I would beat you to be honest." I laughed and said, "Are you kidding me? If there's anyone here better than me, it's gotta be you Miji. After all, we still have more competitions to go before debut." He nods as we gave each other a firm handshake.

(two weeks later, Minjae POV)

After school, Jaeyeon and I went to the school's acting practice room so we can get an application to audition for a part in an upcoming Korean drama. We saw Park Bogum talking to Mrs. Oh before us as we walked in. "Oh good you're here," Mrs. Oh said.

Bogum Seonbae asked, "Are these two the famous Im twins you were telling me about?" "Yes," Mrs. Oh said, "I assigned them a duet acting assignment, and it turns out they were naturals." "Actually," I say, "me and my twin sis have had experience in acting as children." "We were child extras as Kindergarten children in Love By A Mile," Jaeyeon said.

Nodding, Bogum Seonbae says, "That explains why you two look so familiar. We're filming a new drama called Dance Craze and we need two leads that are amazing dancers. The lead characters are also brother and sister, so you two will perfectly fit the role, since you can act, dance, and are real-life twins."

We looked at our Seonbae and say, "We will accept the request to audition Seonbae!" He nods and texts us a video of a dance routine for our audition for the drama. This is one of the audition requirements, along with a script he gave us. One way or another, my sister and I will make the audition and be like Appa.
