(backstage, Jaeyeon POV)

Mine and Minjae's favorite dance television program called Hit The Stage just came out with a new show for trainees from different Kpop companies, and Minjae and I were asked to represent JYP as the male and female representatives for the first season, as requested by JYP himself.

"Can you believe that we're being asked to do Hit The Stage, Minjae?" I asked my younger twin as he was doing his part of our dance to "Kiss The Sky" by Jason Derulo. For the opening episode, each male and female from the different companies are going to dance with each other, then we'll be doing duet dances.

"I can't," he says, "I often imagined what it would be like to dance on the show, especially after watching Uncle Yugyeom as a contestant." "Uncle Yugyeom is awesome!" I said. We then saw the trainees from SM, Hina and Jaewoo, walk over to us. Hina says, "Good luck out there, you two."

"Thanks Hina," I said, "I hope you guys do well too." "It's an honor to compete against the famous Im Twins during this competition. Are you sure you guys will be fine doing the individual challenges too?" Jaewoo asks. Minjae says, "We don't care about competiting against each other, or anyone else for that matter. We care about our teamwork and others. But we're also proud when the Im family name is recognized proudly and respectively."

"We're happy you think that," Hina says, "I think we should all go to the set so we can get into position to start dancing." "You're right," Minjae and I say. We walk to the stage so we can start the show. Minjae and I find the crew we were dancing with for when we dance together on the show, and get into position just as soon as one of the host, who happens to be Kai Sunbae of EXO, starts talking.

(Minjae POV)

When Jaeyeon and I are in position with our crew, Kai Sunbae says, "Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the very first episode of Hit The Stage: Trainees, where trainees from some of the top entertainment companies in Seoul compete in dance battles as a team with their fellow representatives, and as individuals.

"The companies you voted for are SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment, Starship Entertainment, YG Entertainment, Cube Entertainment, and FNC Entertainment. Put your hands together as we introduce our twelve contestants as they dance together!"

Kai Sunbae gets off the stage and Sumi and Nate from YG started the performance off. Then the spotlight turns to Geun-Ri and Yoo-sik of Cube. Jaeyeon and I then enter the stage after they scrimmage off, and we started dancing with our crew. We pointed towards Hina and Jaewoo as they start dancing. Remi and Zeke of Starship we up next. And finally, Kyunga and Baekwon of FNC do their dance.

Soon, Jaeyeon and the girls are on one half of the stage with the female crew dancers while I was on the other half with the guys and the male crew dancers. We soon merged and started dancing after the short pause. When the music stopped, we posed and heard the audience cheer for us.

After we left the stage, the other MC for the show, Jungkook Sunbae of BTS, gets on stage and says, "Now wasn't that exciting? Our trainees have worked so hard to make this spectacular. Tune in as we see them team up with their respected partners for their dances, starting with the Im Twins, Im Jaeyeon and Im Minjae, of JYP, Remi and Zeke of Starship, and Hina and Jaewoo of SM!"

It then goes to commercial break. Jaeyeon and I go to the dressing rooms with our crew as we get changed into our outfits for the "Kiss The Sky" dance. We decided to dress like Jason Derulo did in his music video for the song for this routine by wearing red Hawaiian shirts and white pants and shorts.

(VIP section, Mihyung POV)

Since we were formed to be in groups with Jaeyeon and Minjae, the director let us come watch them in the VIP seating reserved for fellow trainees. We sat in between the supporting SM and YG trainees as we see Kai and Jungkook Sunbae get on stage.

"Welcome back to Hit The Stage: Trainees," Kai Sunbae says, "You've already met our fabulous trainees as they showed you their dance in the beginning of the show, now we're here to see them as they compete against each other in team challenges."

"Each company's reps will do a dance with their crew and you'll be voting for which crew has the best skills. Both reps of the winning company will have immunity for the elimination challenge, and tonight, we'll sadly send one rep of one of the companies home," Jungkook Sunbae says, "Without further a do, we present to you, Im Jaeyeon and Im Minjae of JYP!"

They get off the stage as the spotlight turns on Jaeyeon and Minjae on opposite sides of the stage. I love their concept from the Kiss The Sky music video they're doing. So far, they're doing great, even though they're the first group to go up. I looked over at Eunhyuk as he's looking at Jaeyeon do her parts in the dance.

"I think Eunhyuk is enjoying this," I whispered to Chae-Lee. She whispered back, "Me too. Especially since Jaeyeon is sporting an amazing outfit." "I can hear you," says Eunhyuk, "and no I am not admiring Jaeyeon. I'm just simply seeing her and Minjae do their dance."

Then, it gets to a pause. Minjae turns around, unbuttons his shirt, and starts to do a solo dance while taking it off. This drives the girls, including the female trainees from other companies, crazy. Afterwards, Jayeon steps in front of Minjae and does her solo dance. He joins in after a while, and then their crew joins. Soon, the dance was over.

They leave the stage to go to their dressing rooms. The crowd went wild for Jaeyeon and Minjae, and we can tell. We saw the trainees from Starship next, and then, SM's trainees did their dance before it went to commercial break. We decided to pay them a visit during the break.

(dressing room, Minjae POV)

I was getting dressed in my next outfit for the individual challenge. The wardrobe specialist gets done putting my outfit on me, and I hear a knock on the door. "Come in," I said. My group, Jaeyeon's group, and Jaeyeon herself enter the dressing room.

"Way to go you two!" Chae-Lee says, hugging me and Jaeyeon. "We practiced a lot to make the dance spectacular," I said. Jaeyeon says, "I think it was a show stopper." Mihyung says, "Of course it was, especially with the girls impressed by Minjae's well-built body on display."

I blushed, and covered myself, saying, "What are you talking about?! I wanted to add in something new I've never done before to make the dance great." "Don't be so shy Miji," Jaeyeon says, hugging me, "You'll be getting use to compliments like that when we debut. It's amazing that my little brother already has his first set of fangirls as a trainee."

We heard someone outside the room say, "Im Minjae, remember after the YG trainees are done, you and Jaeyeon are to be on stage for the announcement of immunity." "Okay sir," Jaeyeon and I say. Everyone leaves the room, and Eunhyuk said, "Good luck Jaeyeon and Minjae." We smiled and watched the screen in my dressing room so we know when to go back on."

(a few moments later, Jaeyeon POV)

After my battle themed dance was done, I got an applause for my performance, and the trainees gathered to see who's going to be eliminated, of course, Minjae and I got immunity from our duet dance, but the winner for the individual dance was Jaewoo of SM. We cheered for him, and then I got 2nd while Minjae was third. Sadly, Geun-Ri was the the one who was eliminated for the episode.

"Well that concluded our show," Kai Sunbae says, "how do you feel about the competition between the contestants tonight, Jungkook?" "I think all of them did fantastic, Kai, but this is only the beginning for our dear trainees," says Jungkook Sunbae, "alright folks, that concludes today's show. Tune in for next time where you guys will be selecting the themes the contestants will dance to."

After changing out of our clothes, Minjae and I congratulate our fellow contestants, especially Jaewoo and Geun-Ri, for their hard work today, catch a taxi back to the dorm. When we arrived, I tipped the driver and Minjae and I exit the car. I hugged him and said, "Good job today Miji."

"Thanks Noona," he says, "I'm rooting for us to do our best no matter what happens. I'm happy to not only dance with you today, but also be a lead role in a drama with you and get to dance for the Samsung Thunders game in 2 and a half months."

"We have so much to look forward to," I said, "Good little brother." "Goodnight," he says, and we go to our bedrooms to rest up. We're packing for our trip to Jeju Island for our next episode of Project JYP. Everyone is leaving at 4:30 PM tomorrow to catch our 5 PM flight. So we have to get plenty of rest tonight.
