We eventually stopped playing the game.

The four of them fell asleep and I couldn't, so I walked downstairs to get a glass of water.

Brianna had told me, earlier, that her dad was out of town, so I guess that's why so many people were allowed over at the same time. He probably had no idea, to be honest.

Anyways, I got downstairs and after about 5 minutes of looking through all of the cupboards, I finally found a glass.

I filled it up with water, and was startled by a voice from behind me.

"What are you still doing up?"

I turned around, it was Jai.

"Couldn't sleep.. You?"

"Same," he nodded, "so.. I uh.. Didn't know you and Grayson were dating.."

"Yeah.. We have been for a while now."

"Well if I had known that, I wouldn't have hit on you."

"Really? Why is that?"

"Because I'm friends with Grayson.. plus, It was a stupid thing to do in the first place."

"It's okay.." I replied calmly.

"I'm gonna go to bed," I said as I began to walk to the staircase, "Night.."I said as I walked past him.

I felt his eyes watch me, as I got closer to the stairs.

I quickly walked back up to Brianna's room.

I closed the door, and laid back down.

I fell asleep a while after.

"I can't believe summer is almost over," I whispered into the phone, "I'm going to miss you so much."

"I know, I'll miss you too.." Grayson sighed.

"At least we still have the rest of this week to hang out."

"Actually.. about that-" Grayson muttered.

"-What about it?"

"We leave first thing tomorrow morning," he started to say, "We have a meeting that was scheduled out of the blue."

"How early are you leaving for the airport?" I asked with a frown.

"5 a.m." He groaned.

"What time does your plane take off?"

"6:30."

"Oh.. So no goodbyes?" I asked.

He waited a while to respond.

Then he quietly spoke with a sigh, "I guess not.."

"Okay well, you had better get some rest then. You've got a long flight ahead of you."

I looked down at my hands and spun the ring around, on my finger.

"Okay.."
