Chapter 17: Texting

Merida's POV

*yawns* Ahhhh!!!! The morning light. I quickly pulled the covers over my eye. "Why is it morning already?"

"Because you have school." Mother said peering through the door. "Get up and get ready."

And here we go again... The usually morning routine, brush, bathe, get dressed, good night text for Hicc, breakfast, school.

I got there early and went to our tree with a book I picked up a few days ago, 'The Paris Connection - A Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Super Mystery.' Its amazing.

A few minutes later I got a text from Anna in our group chat,
"Where are you sleepy heads? Elsa and I are at school. We can't find you!"

Flynn, "Morning to you too"

Jack, "On my way"

Me, "Have you lassies checked under our tree?"

Anna, "Ooooh..."

Elsa, "😂😂😂" *laugh emojis*

Elsa and Anna were next to me in a wink. Anna carving something in the tree and Elsa on her phone. "Who you texting lass?" I gave her a teasing grin.
"No one important."
"Well then I guess you won't mind me seeing!" I snatched her phone and ran almost around the building and then glanced at the messages.

*ahhhhhhhh!!!!!* I think my brain was screaming. This is even more interesting than I expected. Elsa finally caught up. She was pink, almost red. "Either you're pink from running, or blushing with guilt?"
"Give me back my phone!" She tried pulling it away from me.
"Sure here you go. I've already seen what I wanted to see." I gave her the phone and a playful grin.
"Mer, you can tell anyone. Especially Anna."
"No worries. My lips are sealed... For now"
"For now is good enough. Let's keep this between you, me and him."
I nodded and we headed to class, she had to text Anna to remind her that she son school."

AFTER SCHOOL

Kristoff, "hey guys! Looks what I have."

We were all together about to leave school and Kris caught up.

"What is it?" - Curious Rap.
"Ms Ariel made school a little more interesting." He replied.
"It say... Homecoming sing off, teams shall be registered by her, elimination will be done during music class performances. Two teams will battle it off at homecoming. Winning prize... Extra credit and a Scholarship to study music at ROYAL UNIVERSITY!"

"That's unbelievable!" I felt this wave of excitement.
"Girls what do you think?"

"We should do it!" They all said in excitement.

"Well I guess we'll have to enter. Just to make you girls have competition." Flynn was in a competitive mood.

"Trust me guys. This will be fun." Anna said while we all headed out of school. It's the weekend. I bet she has something planned.
