New Beginning

Rayna's POV

"Get lost!"The chef yelled.

He threw me some bread and cookies.I put them in a basket I was carrying and walked off.

Out of all people in the world,why me?

Why couldn't it have been someone else?

*Flashback*

*3 years ago*

"Father,is Mama gonna come home?"I asked.

Father threw his head back and sighed."Mama isn't coming home,Rayna."Father said.

I frowned and took a sip from my bowl of soup.

All the sudden,I hear glass break.

"Get down or I'll shoot your brains out!!"I heard a male voice yell.We saw a man wearing a ski mask,black denim pants,and a black turtleneck.

The man punched my father in the face which caused my father to fall and scream in pain.

"Please don't hurt him.He is all I have left."I choke.I felt tears emerge from my eyes.The man grabbed Father by the arm.

The man drew a gun out from his back pocket and held to my Father's head.

The man didn't hesitate.He shot my father in the head.

I screamed and cried.

The man looked up at me.

"You're next."He whispered.

I ran and slipped my tennis shoes on.I grabbed my phone and ran out the house.I ran as fast as I could and didn't stop.

"I will find you!And once I do,you'll be dead!"I hear him yell.

*End of flashback*

I was crying over the thought.

I was alone.No one cared for me.My breathing speeds up and I'm hyperventilating.

I can't control my breathing at all.

All of the sudden,I black out.

Mitch's POV

"Are we there yet?"I asked.

"Not yet,Mitch!Jeez,you're acting like a little kid."Scott exclaims.

"Sorry."I mumbled.

I look out the window and was looking at the people.All of the sudden,I see a girl who was on the sidewalk passed out.

"Stop the car."I demand.

"Uh,why?"Scott asked.

"Just do it."I said firmly.

Scott stopped the car and I got out.I checked to see if the girl had a pulse.Thankfully,she did.

"Let's drive her to the apartment.Sit in the back with her,Mitch."Scott says.

I nod and lift the girl up.I opened the door and carefully slid inside the car.The girl's hair is tattered and her clothes seem like she has worn them for years.

'I hope she's alright.'I thought to myself.

We soon got back to our apartment and we walked up to our room.Scott opened the door for me.

"Lay her on the couch."Scott says.

I carefully lay her on the couch.I put my hand on her cheek and caress it.

"Call the rest over.Say this is urgent."I demand.Scott got the phone as dialed Avi's,Kirstie's,and Kevin's number.

"They'll be here in a couple of minutes."He explains to me.

I plop on the bed in the bedroom and play on my phone.

'What a crazy day it has been.'I thought.
