Happy Easter guys!
So my mom, takes the day off so we could all go to church. I personally don't really like church because it's boring and solemn and I fall asleep while trying to get my praise on. However I go to a Catholic church and maybe the churches I've been going to are all boring because I can never make it through the whole mass without falling asleep. My sister on the other hand is Baptist, and my mom identifies more with Baptist I guess (she isn't baptized under either denomination for some reason). So my mom wakes me up early, has me get dressed. Yells at me because I'm not as happy as she is to be up. And I'm stuck with her, by myself (because my sister went and sat with her friends).
If you don't know it already, I'm telling you now. Baptist churches are loud as hell. Or maybe it's only the Haitian churches. These people are yelling into the microphones. "Beni swa Letènel!" and "Alleluia!" yelled loudly everywhere. There were some very spirited singers there, all who belted their notes loudly into the microphone. My mom sang along...more like yelled along. Basically everyone was loud and I just wanted to go home. My mom basically forced me to dance along with her during songs. Church was not a fun time for me, however it did keep me awake. I felt like I was in a community of people who care and truly love God.
