Kongpob

Kongpob was ecstatic, it was the perfect date.  The two or them at the movies, Arthit's head resting on his shoulder.  Arthit was more comfortable and affectionate.  Kongpob quietly slipped his fingers through Arthit's.  All he wanted to do was reach in and kiss his adorable senior, but he was afraid it would take things a step too far.  Arthit was still incredibly shy in public.  He better not push his luck.

Once the movie had ended, they were having lunch at the mall food court.  Even the silence between them was making him feel giddy.  Arthit suddenly laughed softly while picking on his food.

Kongpob smiled looking at him.  "Why are you laughing P' Arthit?"

"It's nothing, the movie we just watched reminded me of Knott."

Reminded him of Knott?  The movie they watched was about two male leads falling in love with the same girl.  The girl had turned down her best friend and chosen the other.

"Why did it remind you of P' Knott, P' Arthit?"

"The girl's best friend was just like Knott!"

"Oh..."  Kongpob leaned over towards Arthit with a sly smile.  "P', it's not something you should tell your boyfriend.  I might get jealous."

Arthit blushed.  Kongpob loved that color on Arthit's face.

"Jealous?  Don't be ridiculous... Knott doesn't like me that way.  I only meant the silly things we do when we are bored.  We are just friends."

Kongpob put his hand Arthit's.  "P' Arthit... I love you."

Arthit looked down blushing even harder.  Kongpob caught the faint words he mumbled.

"Me too..."

Arthit

The movie did remind Arthit of Knott making him sad.  He scrolled through his phone.  Since the day Knott went home he hadn't called Arthit at all.  Even the multiple texts he sent remained on 'read.'  It was true his mind had been preoccupied with Kongpob, and he hadn't troubled Knott like he usually did.

But now it was obvious Knott was avoiding him, and he wasn't sure why.  Did he do something to make Knott angry?  Knott didn't say anything before he left.  He seemed normal then.  Was it because he paid more attention to Kongpob these days?   Knott was never the attention seeker between them, so he dismissed that thought too.  Was Knott so busy that he had no time to send him a single text?

A weird mental image of Knott working on a farm came to his head.  What was he thinking?  Both of Knott's parents were engineers.  Then what kept Knott so busy at home?

After his date with Kongpob, he called Prem once he returned to the room.

"Ai Arthit?  What is it?"

"Prem, have you heard from Knott?"

"Yeah... he just called me about half an hour ago.  Why?"

"He hasn't answered my calls or texts.  So I was wondering..."

"Oh..." Prem didn't say more than that.

"Ai Prem, is there a problem?  What are you hiding?"

"Nothing," Prem answered quickly.

"Is Knott alright?  Did he tell you when he will be back?"

"He told me he will be back next week to work on the group project."

"Okay, thanks.  I will talk to you later."

Prem was right Knott did return after a week.  A week where he hadn't contacted Arthit not even once.  Arthit was furious, he didn't know what he had done.  He didn't want to call Knott's parents and ask for him like they were kids.  As soon as Knott arrived Arthit started his questioning.

"Why were you ignoring me?" he asked Knott as calmly he possibly could.

"I wasn't ignoring you.  I assumed you had other things in mind, and let you be."

"Oh, so you left me be, did you?  I called you so many times and send you texts, which I know you read.  Did I do something to you?"

"No you didn't, I was sort of busy," Knott replied in a bored voice which angered Arthit even more.

"You were free to call Prem.  Look at me, Knott. Tell me what's wrong."

Knott turned to face him angrily, "ARTHIT!!  Stop bothering me, I'm tired.  Leave me alone!"

Arthit stared at Knott with his mouth open.  It was the first time Knott had raised his voice at him.  Sure he had seen Knott angry before.  But he had never been in the receiving end of it.

Arthit was hurt.  All he wanted to know was why Knott was acting this way.

Kongpob

Kongpob saw Arthit sit with Prem in the cafeteria.  They had their backs turned to him.  He slowly walked up to them hoping to surprise Arthit when he heard Prem say:  "Where is your husband?"

Kongpob blushed, it was so nice to have Arthit's friend accept him into their circle without prejudice.  He waited to hear how Arthit was going to answer.  Oh how much he wished he could actually see Arthit's embarrassed face.

"He was sleeping when I left.  He is never like that.  I don't know why he isn't speaking to me either.  What has gotten into him!" Arthit answered in a frustrated voice.

What?   Was Arthit talking about Knott?  Kongpob narrowed his eyes.  What kind of relationship did Arthit have with Knott?

"Actually Arthit, I was talking about N' Kongpob," Prem said.

"Oh... Kong?  I still haven't seen him today.  I think he has class."

Kongpob didn't move, he didn't like what he had heard at all.

"Anyway Arthit, let Knott be.  Maybe he has something that is bothering him."

"I can't stand it, Prem.  Knott has never behaved this way.  Especially towards me!  Should I take a piece of cheesecake to him?  He loves it, that might cheer him up."

"Cheesecake?  For Knott?  Ai Arthit, he hates cheesecake!" Prem replied.

"No, he doesn't.  That's what he gets all the time.  He only doesn't like the crust.  He leaves it for me."

Prem put his hands on his head, "Arthit... Are you fucking blind?"

"What do you mean?"

Kongpob quickly went over and touched Arthit's shoulder.

"P' Arthit?"

Prem looked at him with a slight panic in his eyes.  "N' Kongpob..."

"Sawadee khrap P' Prem.  P' Arthit, shall we get something to eat?"

"Yeah0.. sure.  See you later Prem."

Knott

"N' Tew?  Can I speak to you for a minute?"

"Sure P' Knott... what can I do for you?"

"Would you like to be my boyfriend?"
