I was sitting at a doctor's office waiting on my results for my shoulder and heart. I had a tough day but this makes it tougher. I was sitting there for what felt like forever until the doctor came back. "Well, well Ms. Smith. Let's talk about you." The doctor said putting my results on the light board. "Well, for one, your shoulder is fine, just bruised, I recommend ice and maybe some bengay." Wow, just what Chuck said. "But your heart is my concern. I see you've had prior heart problems." I nodded.

"Yeah, they were stress related." I told him and he nodded, "Someone so young having heart problems is very unusual. I'd like to get you tested for heart disease." He told me and my eyes grew wide. "Wait, heart disease? Why? My heart is fine; I just need to stop getting angry." The doctor chuckled a bit, "That might just be true, but someone so young experiencing arrhythmia's is not a good sign." He explained, "Does heart disease run in the family?" He asked me and I nodded, "Yeah, my grandfather just past from a heart attack this summer." The doctor nodded.

I went and did the stupid test and I was told I'd have to wait for the results. I was in the car with Cecil because everyone else was busy and couldn't go to the doctor with me. I sat in the back looking out the window. "Are you okay?" Cecil asked me and I sighed out loud. "I can't catch a break." I said feeling sorry for myself. "Whatever happens, you'll be alright. And if something happens to you, I'll die right by you." He swore and it made me laugh a little. "How long have you been taking care of me?" I asked Ce's and he started thinking "Since you were three."

We got back to the house and I went to go pack my bags. Because it was winter vacation time I thought it best to go back home to Houston and stay with my Uncle Rell. Him and his wife were so excited and I was too, I couldn't wait to be back home enjoying my friends and seeing everyone. I was so ready for this, plus after yesterday, I wanted to be far away from this place.

"You're excited." Malcolm commented while standing in my doorway. "Aren't you?" I asked because he was coming with me. "Yeah. A bit." I smiled. "I missed everyone and everything. I've been waiting on this forever." I said to him and he looked happy that I was happy. "Alright finish packing." He told me and I nodded and he left.

Time to live like I used to. Just lounging and not having to worry about a busy life. Not having to travel one hour just to get somewhere. Time to be in a place I felt comfortable. Back home. In Houston.
