We approached the coast and I could see the roller coasters and carnival set up going on. I was actually pretty excited. Caz's dad's car was huge, I think it is a 1990 Land Rover and it was actually pretty comfortable. I was sitting next to Chuck as set up by Drew because he had a homie's back. Chuck kept flirting with me, he knew what he was doing. I tried not to let him though because I wanted to play hard to get, that was failing though.

When we made it, we got out the car and stretched. It was a thirty-minute drive from my house to this fair so it wasn't that far away, I guess. I looked around and it was really cute. "This is kinda like the rodeo in Houston." I said out loud and Caz looked at me and said "Hell nah. We ain't got no horses and cows here." He tried to make fun of me and I just mugged him and hit him. "You gone stop hittin me." He threatened and I just hit him again and everyone laughed.

We started walking to the fair area and Draya said "What are we going to do first?" Everyone started thinking "Let's just go ride some rides first." PB threw out and everyone agreed. We bought some tickets and we were out! It was so fun and exciting actually better than the rodeo. I think that was because I had Chuck with me every ride I got on and the more rides we got on, the closer he got to me.

We were on this "scary dream" ride were we were going through a haunted house. "You scared?" Chuck asked me and I blushed just a bit "Uh, no." I said trying to convince him. "No? Alright, oh well, I was going to hold on to you but since you're not scared." He let me know and I smiled and said "Well, maybe just a little scared." He chuckled a bit and he pulled me close him. And the ride began and it wasn't the bad, but some moments I did jump a little and Chuck was just right there to reassure me that everything was alright.

When we got off the ride Draya gave me a quick thumbs up and I gave her a slick one back and continued on. "What we doin next? Ferris Wheel?" Draya asked and Chuck secretly winked at me. "Why would we get on the Ferris wheel? The only couple here has been those two." Caz said while pointing us out. I rolled my eyes "Only couples can get on the Ferris Wheel Caz?" I asked him knowing that he was being a dumbass right now.

He mugged and said "It's a lovers ride." He pointed out and Drew said "Man, go get you a girl and take her wit you then." "I bet he can't." PB threw out there and everyone oh'd. I laughed and Draya joked and said "I'm going with PB, since he's my one true love." "Bet it." PB agreed.  If only they realized how cute they actually were. "I can get any female out here that I want, so I got a date." Drew said and Caz looked like he was getting mad.

"Watch me get a girl. Let's go." Caz said and we all laughed at him and his determined mood. "We'll be over here while you do that Caz." Drew said to him and he nodded and went out to search for someone. Caz wasn't ugly at all, he was a cute, tall chocolate boy. He was nice and clean cut too and had manners and a smile that would make anyone melt. I'd date him if he wasn't Caz.

"Are you having fun?"

Chuck knocked me out of my thought, his smiled was gorgeous and full of teeth. I nodded innocently.

"Yeah, for my first time here."

"First of many. You should go to the Boardwalk in New Jersey that's even more fun."

"I plan on it one day."

"I'll take you."

He winked at me and I smiled and looked down so I could contain myself so I wouldn't blush so hard. It was working.

"How have you like NY so far?"

"It's been getting better."

"That's a blessing. I'd had a fit if someone said I'd have to move from somewhere I've known all my life to a place that a completely different culture."

I sighed.

"Yeah, but I'm an adapter so it's not as bad as I thought it would be. And if anything I can always go back home, hopefully."

"Yeah, but why would you? I'm here after all."

We were on the way back home, Caz couldn't find a girl so he lost yet another bet to Drew and PB. He had to buy lunch on Monday and he was salty about that. We were in the car jamming some new and upcoming rappers from New York and then I brought the mother of all cassettes. RUN DMC!!! We hurried and turned it on and turned the volume all the way up! We jammed all the way home.

When I made it home it was 11:30 and I sighed because I barely made curfew. I walked in the house and closed the door behind me, my brothers were watching TV and I yawned. "Aye! How was your day with your friends?" Malcolm asked me and I smiled and nodded "Pretty fun! I enjoy myself." I admitted and Malcolm smiled "I'm glad to hear that, I really am."

Trey eyed the bunny rabbit in my hand "Who got you that?" He asked like a protective brother should. "My friend Chuck." I said a smiled. "You heard that 'My friend Chuck'." Trey mocked me and I laughed at him. "Ain't no dating in this household for younger members in the house. If you ain't old enough to drink, you ain't old enough to date." Trey "laid down the law". I just nodded like I agreed and I walked up the stairs and into my room.

I put the stuff bunny down on my bed and went and took a shower in my bathroom. When I was finished I put on cocoa butter and brushed my hair. I put it in a ponytail and I wrapped it up. Then I brushed my teeth and I took my contacts out and put on my glasses. I looked in the mirror and smiled because I was finally happy here.
