My Eyes Are Open

Chaos

I opened my eyes, only to be blinded by a bright light coming through the window.

"Queen Valinque, you need to get up. You have work to do." I heard Anna, but I didn't see her. 

"Ok." And with that, I got up and got dressed for the day.

"Breakfast is almost ready, so you can either go to the dining room and wait or go to your office and wait." Anna said. 

"I'll wait in my office." I walked to my office, went inside, and sat down. Not too long after, there was a knock on the door. 

"Name and business." I said.

"It's Mini, and I'm here to see you." 

"Come in." 

Mini walked in and sat down. I kind of wanted to be alone, but I can't very easily turn him away. After all, he is my husband. My.... Husband.... I still can't believe it. I never thought I'd get married at the age of 15.

There was another knock on the door. 

"Name and business."

"Mike. I'm here to inform you that breakfast is ready."

"Ok."

I walked out of my office, and Mini followed me. When we got to the dining room, I sat down at the head of the table. I was told that, since I'm now queen, I should sit here. The food was brought out, and Mini immediately started eating. 

"Don't eat too much too fast. I can't have you getting sick." I said. 

He looked up at me with his innocent look. I laughed a little bit and started eating my food.

Once I was done with my food, I went back up to my office. I was supposed to be filling out paperwork, but I hadn't received it yet. I was waiting, but nothing came. I made little paper things and threw them away. I decided to call for somebody. I hit the little buzzer on my desk, in hopes it would do something. I heard footsteps come to my door. The door was opened, and when I looked to see who it was, I saw it was Ani. 

"You called?"

"Yes, um, I was told that I was supposed to be getting paperwork for something. Any idea as to where it might be?"

"Oh, right. That paperwork you're talking about is right here. I was just bringing it up to you when you called." He handed me a large stack of paper.

"You are dismissed." I said.

Well, this looks boring. 

I decided that I'd go ahead and do it, just to get it over with. I did the paperwork; it took about an hour or so.
