I froze at the sound of Kyle's voice.
There was no mistaking his irritation as venom was quite literally dripping from his tone as he spoke.
Why am I not surprised?
"I asked you a question, Lilac," he reiterated after I continued to remain silent.
Even though we weren't standing near each other, I could practically see the rage swirling around in his eyes as he glared daggers at me.
If the situation were different, I would probably be shaking in my boots right now.
But given the fact that I specifically told Rebecca to tell Kyle where I was going—and to see that she didn't do it—I was a hell of a lot more mad than I was scared.
