Chapter 4-SM

Chapter 4- Shawn's POV

I sigh, while dumping off my backpack beside my doorframe. School was killing me, but today I had no homework, a bonus point for me. I stared into my MacBook Air's screen, into my email. There were a couple from fans; I read like 5 or 6, but didn't reply because I had clearly mentioned fans this email was for business inquires only. I opened an email I had just received today morning. I read it all, even more than once:

Subject: Haylee Richardson

Hello, Mr. Mendes, as a company we want to greet you with our utmost respect and beg you to take some of your time to get through this email- if you do, we appreciate your time taken to do so. As you might have previously read the subject of this email is Haylee Richardson, the reason why is because her wish we want to accomplish. Now you must be wondering who Haylee actually is. Haylee Richardson is a fifteen year old girl who has spent her past five years dealing with colon cancer. The doctors turned to us and told us, the Wish Co, she was-directly quoting- a lost case with only a couple of months left of life. We communicated with Haylee and she told us her wish was "To meet the Magcon boys, and that Shawn sings to me." We really want to accomplish this girl's dream, and therefore we communicated with Bart Bordelon. Mr. Bordelon agreed to take the Magcon boys to Miami, Florida to visit Haylee. He hasn't agreed on you yet, because you are the only Magcon boy that lives in Canada and Bart is not paying for the expenses, but we are. We really want to see if you are able to go so we could arrange the trip because of all the time difference, currency difference , etc. If you would like to make Haylee's wish come true, we would really appreciate a reply to this email. Thank you again, at least for making Haylee happy- even through a screen. She loves you very much and would appreciate this act a lot.

I smiled while I read the letter. I was not exactly sure why, but I just did. I headed over to the kitchen were my mom was cooking, dinner probably.

"Mom, could I go to Miami?" I asked, with the biggest smile I could give.

"Why?" My mom turned around, confused,of course. I handed her my laptop and she read the email carefully. Tears welled up in her eyes, Mandy Mendes was known as quiet an emotional woman.

"I'd love for you to go, Shawn. You make this girl happy, and I want you to make her dream come true." She said, while whipping her tears away.

The truth is that, this unknown girl made me happy for no exact reason too.

I truly apologize that this chapter was short. In other words Shawn got introduced. The fanfic's finally progressing a bit.
