Chapter 13

AVRIL'S POV

I lay on my bed, dozing off into the world of dreamland. Just as my eyes close.. My phone rings, I scramble to find my phone. Looking at my phone screen I see it is a number from Australia, clicking 'accept' on my screen to answer the phone call.

"Ms Lavigne, I am sorry to have to tell you Miss Sophie Scott was hit by a car. She is the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, sadly in coma," a guy I'm guessing is the officer working on her case.

I fall to the floor, tears running so fast down my checks as I cry, knowing I might just lose her.

Pulling myself together, throwing everything I needed in a suitcase. I call up, getting my body guards to come take me to the airport to jump on a private jet to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

I take my seat on the jet, a body guard to each side of me. I put my seat belt on, taking out my phone I call Jordy.

"Hey Av,"she said is an enthusiastic tone, just breaking my heart in two.

With tears trickling down my cheeks, as I say,"Sophie has been hit by a car.. She is in the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, she is also in a coma..."

I cry and cry as I have to tell Jordy what happened. My heart splits in two, pain fills my body until this painful numbness fill my whole body, my body just shakes.

I can't bare to talk to her any longer as my tears fall one after another. My hands shake as the jet takes off bring me closer to Sophie..

JORDY'S POV

Answering my phone, all I hear is Avril say,"Sophie has been hit by a car.. She is in the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, she's in a coma..."

The line cuts off as I hear loud sobs of crying from the other end of the phone before the line cut off. I could feel this terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach, as I replay those sobs of heartbroken tears from the so very strong Avril Lavigne.

Grabbing my keys, phone and purse I run out the house locking the door behind myself running to catch a taxi. Getting in, I yell at him to take me to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

It feels like it is taking forever to get there, but in reality it really isn't. I just can't believe my best friend lays in a hospital bed, in a fucking coma and I don't even know what is going on.

I walk in the doors of The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, I swear I feel my heart stop, not knowing what to expect. I make my way to the reception, a girl with brown hair tied back in a pony with brown eyes looks up with me, a disgusted look upon her face appears.

"I'm here to see Sophie Scott. She was in an accident and I was told she was in a coma..," my voice traveling off as I try not to let the tears from where they threaten to.

"Are you family?" She asks with a look I refuse to take notice of not wanting to cause a fight and not get to see her.

"No but she lives with me and the woman that owns the place we live at," I say with a flat tone upon my voice as it comes out.

"I'm sorry but only family can see her!" The woman behind the desk as with this bitter tone lacing her voice making me ball my fists at my side.

I couldn't believe it, I wasn't allowed to see her. I just knew that something was really wrong, my gut told me not to step out that hospital but I just couldn't be there anymore..

I walk in the front door of our house, I'm greeted by Rockstar. He looks up with these cute eyes, I can tell all he really wants is Sophie. Picking him up I head up stairs to my room, laying down with him cuddle into my arms I just stare at the wall thoughts running through my head, refusing to leave.

AVRIL'S POV

I walk in doors of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, I hadn't showered or even changed my clothes. I came straight off the plane to here, body guards in toe. My whole body shakes as I now stand at the desk of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

"Can I see Sophie Scott?" I ask with my voice shaky, my legs giving way letting my body guards catch me from hitting the floor.

"You are?" She says, not bothering to look up, annoying the sit out of me.

"Avril Lavigne," I say with my voice clearly shaky, my legs once again threatening to give way.

She looks up, her face is star struck. Her eyes light up as she knows who I am since she bothered to finally see who was actually talking to her pissing me off. I just look at her, no expression crossing my face at all, she wasn't worth my anger.

"Yeah, go up to ICU and ask for her up there. They will tell you what room she is in."

"Thank you.."

I walk up stairs with my body guards in toe. My whole body shakes uncontrollably, I can't even walk without tripping.

I make it to the desk, I looked at the nurse behind the desk with a disbelief. I was so close to being able to see the girl I lo.. care about. Holding into the desk for support, as the nurse looks up to me and asks,"how can I help you?"

I answer, my voice clearly shaking,"I'm here to see Sophie Scott."

"Oh..," her face falls and at that moment I knew something was really wrong,"she is room 5."

Getting up from where she sits behind her desk, she walks around. She leads me to a room, outside stands two police officers guarding her room. One looked to be in his early 20's, 6 foot 2, slim build, brown hair and this grey blue eyes. The other officer looked to be in his late 30's or maybe even his early 40's, 5 foot 10 maybe 5 foot 11, chubby build, grey hair and dark brown eyes that nearly look black.

The young officer steps forward in front of me, he looks at me and asks,"Miss can you please take your glasses off and please tell us your name as well as some sort of ID."

Taking my glasses off I hand them to my body guard, I take my drivers license out from my purse giving it to the officer before saying,"I'm Avril Ramona Lavigne, born 27th September 1984, Bellevillie, Ontario, Canada."

"Mrs Lavigne, you may enter."

"Guys stay here whilst I go in," I turn around saying to my body guards standing beside me.

Turning the door handle slowly, I take a deep breath in. Building up my courage, I finally open the door, and there she is....
