AVRIL'S POV

She takes a breath....

The doctor instantly puts a oxygen mask on her. But she just took in a breath, it may have been small but it was still a breath. Her chest continues to rise and fall, but there was no sign of her waking up. I can't understand why, she is breathing but she's not waking up.

"Why isn't she waking up?" I ask I'm a panic.

"She now in a self produced coma, instead of the one we put her in," he says reassuring me.

"Is it bad?" I ask panic not leaving my mind as I look over her body.

"No, we won't know if she has brain damage until she wakes up. But this could be a good sign," he says with a smile, making his way out of the room.

James and Lucas walk into the hospital room, they pack up all my equipment. They said they would take it home for me so I wouldn't have to.

I sit in the quite comfortable seat by her bedside. I unlock the screen on my phone, clicking Jordy's name I call her..

"Hey..," I say, my voice sounding like it hadn't before, I don't know it it was relief or just this weight had been taken off my shoulders.

"Hey, what's up?" She asks with curiosity clean as day in her voice.

"They took Sophie off the ventilator. She didn't breathe at all... But then she just started breathing by herself. BY HERSELF!" I nearly scream at her, I know it was sad for me to be so excited about something so small but that was the best thing so far.

It was a step forward that she could breathe on her own. My next hope was that she would finally wake up. They didn't know if she would, but only when she did they would know if she have an permanent brain damage.

"Wow. That's good!" Jordy says with a little bit of hope in her voice I had never heard before.

"Now we are just waiting for her to wake up and see if she has any permanent brain damage..,"I say putting a bit of a downer on it without meaning to.

"Just keep me updated. I have to go," she says before hanging up like normal for Jordy.

Looking on Facebook all I see is message after message or post after post asking why I haven't posted anything in so long. I quickly take a photo, editing it in Instagram. I post it to my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Tumblr pages with the caption "I said goodbye. I made sure not to cry. But yet you came back to me. With fire to fight with.."

My phone starts ringing, I look at the caller ID to find it is only my mum. Answering the phone I says," hey mum."

"You just say 'hey' after I haven't heard from you in days. Maybe even longer?" She asks, I could tell she was very pissed off at me but mainly just worried about me.

"I'm sorry mum... I just been dealing with some things over here...," I trail off, I hadn't told my mum that I had this weird feeling towards Sophie yet, or that every time we touch I get this rush that I never want to let her go.

"What is so big that you couldn't call your mum since you were dealing with it?" She asks, I know she has found something she isn't letting go of.

"Mum...," that is all I say.

"Tell me Avril Ramona Lavigne!" She says with a firm tone in her voice, I knew the only to get away from it was to hang up the phone but she wouldn't give up until she found out.
