Katniss' POV-
"But you promised me that we could spend the night together tonight." Peeta stated with a hint of sadness in his voice, and I did feel sorry for him, but I needed to show Johanna that she didn't need to feel left out; we all still loved her and nothing had changed just because most of us were in relationships with other people.
"I know I did, but now I'm spending it with Johanna." I replied with a smile.
"Can't we all spend the night together. Isn't that a better way to show her?" Peeta argued, and I just laughed at him.
He didn't like it when I spent time with other people because, the last time he let me do anything by myself, I ended up being attacked; had the black eye and broken ribs to prove it.
I told him I was fine, but he never let me go anywhere by myself after that and he always made sure he was at my side whenever I went out after the sun had set and the orange glow had long but disappeared.
"Please, Peeta, there's no need to worry about me. I'm spending the night with Johanna and that's all there is to it really." I smiled at him, taking his hands in my own as I took a step closer to him and looked him right in the eyes.
"I only worry because I love you." he sighed.
"And I love you too. If it makes you feel better then, on my way back home, I will stop off at your place?" I suggested, with a smile.
"Or, I could walk over when you're about to leave and meet you?" he replied, and I knew there was going to be no getting rid off him.
I really did love him, but I didn't need him to treat me like a child all the time.
I was more than capable of walking myself home from District Seven.
"Peeta, I'll be fine. I promise." I smiled and then kissed him quickly, taking hold of his hand and walking away from my house.
"Where are you taking me now?" he asked me curiously, but I didn't reply to him, I just kept walking in the general direction of his place.
I had organised with Cato, Marvel and Gale for them to all spend the night together in an attempt to force them to get along with each other.
Peeta hadn't forgiven Gale for having him attacked, Gale hated Cato for being who he was and Cato hated Marvel for leaving them behind in order to spend more time with Ashleigh; I loved them all and I just wanted them to actually get along with each other.
I wanted everyone to go back to the way they were before it all went wrong, and I wanted them all to be just as good friends as they were before everything kicked off- which was my fault anyway, so I had made it my job to sort it all out.
"You have got to be kidding me." Peeta mumbled in annoyance, the realisation of what I was doing finally hitting him.
"Katniss, what the hell are we all doing here?" Cato shouted at me.
"Yeah. Some of us had plans for this evening." Gale also snapped at me.
"Firstly, taking the slag from your year out is nothing important. Secondly, there's a reason I asked you all to come here." I replied, looking around at the four faces which were all looking at me like I had done something wrong; perhaps even committed a crime which was totally unthinkable.
"And what would that reason be then?" Peeta answered.
"Right, here's what's going to happen. You four are all my friends-"
"Actually, I think one of us is a little more than a friend. Don't you?" Gale interrupted me. I could hear the sarcasm, and the jealousy, in the words that he spoke.
