He has always been know as the "baker's son" but it's time for him to make his own name for himself in Panem.
Katniss Everdeen is the smart, popular girl that everyone wishes they could be.
She has never had trouble with anything, or anyone, during her time at Panem High and she isn't about to let that change.
Gale Hawthorne, two years above Katniss and, not only is he her bestfriend, he's also her part-time, on-off, boyfriend.
He is always catching the eyes of the girls, regardless of the year that they're in, and they're always talking about how they're going to make him their own.
So, when you get all three of these in the same place, at the same time, surely nothing is bound to go wrong because there's nothing for the other to worry about.
Right?
Wrong.
After a couple of months at Panem High, Peeta begins to get slowly closer to Katniss and even begins to think of her as more than a friend.
Little does he know that she thinks of him in the same way.
Wanting more than Gale is giving her and the chance to be in a stable relationship, Katniss goes to the next level with Peeta; much to the dissatisfaction of Gale.
With drama, lost friendships and drastic measures taken to ensure a relationship never happens, will there ever just be a quiet year at Panem High?
