Chapter 26: Grow Old With You

*THE NEXT DAY*
[JOAO'S POV]

I woke up with the sun rays shining on my face and Yassi hugging me.

"Good morning baby." I said and planted a kiss on the forehead.

"Good morning my Jowang." She said and kissed my nose.

Then I remembered my audition for PBS. I missed singing. I started to sing my audition piece.

I wanna make you smile, whenever your sad
I'll carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you.

I started to combing her hair. She also started to sing with me.

I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Bulid the fire when the furnace breaks
It could be real nice, growing old with you

[FORD'S POV]

"Fordy, anong gusto mo for breakfast?" Tanong saakin ni Eliza.

"Kahit na ano. Basta luto mo." Nagsimula na magmula si Eliza.

I'll miss you, kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold
I'll need you, feed you
Even let you hold the remote control

"Ely, naririnig mo ba yun?"

"Yes Fordy. Bakit? Wait lang."

"Babe, parang si Joao yung kumakanta."

"Si Joao? Joao Constancia?"

"Oo. Yung half ko sa 'FoJo'."

"Wow ha! Inggit ako!"

"Soorry na ok? Wag kang nang magselos! Hindi naman nagkatuluyan yon eh. Tayo ang magkakatuluyan." Niyakap ko si Eliza.

"I hate you!"

"I hate you too!"

Ganoon yung 'I love you' namin, 'I hate you' kasi "The more you hate, the more you love" 😉😉

[NIEL'S POV]

So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed if you had too much to drink
All I wanna do is grow with you

"Babe, narinig mo yun?" Tanong ni Kisses.

"Oo."

"Kasi kahapon pa may kumakanta na mga kapitbahay."

"Oo nga eh. Kahapon parang si Russell yung kumakanta ngaun naman parang si Joao!"

"Wait! Akala ko nasa Macau sa Joao with Ate Yassi?"

"Ewan ko nga eh!"

[YASSI'S POV]

Joao finished his song. And I couldn't help but feel genuine happiness inside me.

"Joao, do you think that in 10 years, you will still be mine?" I asked out of nowhere.

"Baby, why are you asking that?" He answered.

"Ewan lang. Napaisip lang ako." I said.

"Whatever happens baby, even if this world turns upside down, I will always be yours and you will always be mine." He smiled.

Master hugotero na si Jowang!

"Wow naman baby! Hugotero ka na din!" I laughed.

"Grabe ka naman!" I said.

Turned around to the other side of the bed and I felt his arms around me. Then he started to tickle me.

"Joao!! Stop nakikili na ko!" I said while laughing.

"I'm not stoping until you say something!" He said playfully.

"Fine!!! I." I didn't continue what I said.

"Love." Still didn't continued and he still tickled me.

"Hahaha!! Joao!!! Stop!!" I shouted.

"You!" I said.

"Finally!" He stopped tickling me and just simply hugged her. 😍
