Chapter 6 - You're grounded!

"Becky!" Mum yelled as she attacked me with a hug. She had come into the reception with Peter,Buddy and Mr Allen.

"Mum." I said,hugging her back.

"Oh gee.. Are you okay?" She asked. Mr Allen scoffed. I picked up Buddy who had been dancing around my legs. I've missed my dog so much!

"Of course she is!" He said. Mum glared at him.

"I told you I don't want her to be a spy,Benny!" Mum said to Mr Allen.

Benny? First name basis huh?

Wait... What? How do they even know each other?!

Mum's got some explanations to do.

"And you!" She grabbed my left ear and began pulling.

"Ow ow mum! Why?" I whined.

"You disobeyed me silly." She said and twisted it harder.

Bipolar much?

I groaned. Seriously mum? Of all places to embarrass me,it's in front of my crush who has just kept me in a friendzone! I could hear Peter snickering. I shot him a glare which made him roll his eyes. I looked over to where Nikki and Filip stood.

Nikki and Mr Allen were biting back laughs. The traitors! While Filip was looking at me with...PITY???.

Ugh! I hate pity!

Mum dragged me out of USB spy world's building,leaving me barely any moment to say goodbye to my friends!

"What on earth were you thinking?" Mum yelled at me immediately we entered our house. I opened my mouth to talk but she cut me.

"You're grounded for two weeks!"

"But mum..." I protested.

"No buts." She cut in.

"School." I deadpanned. Her eyes widened a fraction. Surely she couldn't ground me when I had to go to school. I arched an eyebrow and mum huffed.

"Fine. But you're grounded today." She said. I nodded and walked up to my room,carrying my backpack. Being grounded throughout today was fine by me cos I really needed my sleep.

I was so happy to be home. I really missed my room- especially the comfort of my bed! I plugged my phone to charge as it was dead before I undressed to have a long hot bath. I also washed my hair with my strawberry shampoo.
After cleaning up,I quickly got dressed into a pair of black sweatpants and a white t- shirt and slumped on my bed.

I was slowly drifting to sleep when I heard a vibration. I sleepily reached out for my phone and disconnected it from the charger. It was a text. Who the heck decided to interrupt my sleep? Nikki... Of course!

Nikita yo bestest: Hey B. You home already?

Me: Yeah. And thanks for interrupting the most amazing sleep ever -_- .

Nikita yo bestest: Anytime ;)

I rolled my eyes.

Me: Get lost.

As I was about to turn off my phone,it vibrated again. Ugh!!

Nikita yo bestest: I'm hurt :)

Me: You better be. I really need to sleep gosh!
