"Hey Becks!" I inwardly groaned. I was currently walking to my calculus class in peace until I heard his voice. Of course no other person would call me 'Becks" than Dylan Peterson!
Dylan was the only jock who spoke to me and my friends pretty much aside Brian. We all grew up together from kindergarten. He was the best friend of Nikki's brother,Sean.
Sean used to attend our school but for some reasons which Nikki couldn't tell us about,he transferred schools. From what Nikki told us,the school was a boarding school outside Bundary Hills. He never came home during the holidays. According to Nikki, he always stayed with their maternal grandparents in Ohio. So I sort of guessed he schooled there.
We all missed Sean.
The dude was so cool and he and Kelly were very close. Sean was a jock too. The most popular guy in school then. He was close to me and my friends but because of our spy nature,he only related with us outside school and wasn't loud about Nikki being his sister.
When Sean left,Dylan seemed lonely at first but later found succour in Jacob Wilson, another friend of theirs and a fellow jock. Jacob was a cool guy with a huge sense of humor which he displays once in a while. He is sort of shy at first meeting but when he gets to know you, he would open up to you, though he wasn't close to us.
Jacob is our school's best runner, then Dylan. Sean used to be the fastest and best runner in all races but since he left,Jacob took over. That is,in the short distance races and hurdle. Dylan had the long distances. Jacob couldn't handle those mainly because he's asthmatic. Sometimes even after the short distance races,he'd have an attack. But the common trait with the boys was the fact that they were all very handsome.
And girls queued for their attention!
"What do you want?" I glared at Dylan. He was a living version of ANNOYING. I mean the guy could even find away to annoy a poor elephant!
Dylan offered his signature smirk. His green eyes stared at me with a mischievous glint coupled with amusement. I noticed his curly dark brown hair was somewhat messy but he still looked breathtakingly gorgeous. Well, and annoying!
His features could literally make any girl but me swoon.I rolled my eyes then he grinned.
"Can't I walk my seat partner to our class anymore?" He said, purposely rubbing the fact that he's my seat partner. Yes he is my seat partner in calculus. I mean who could be so cruel to have us sit together for the rest of this term?
Right! Mr Baxter!
He was an older version of Dylan...not! He was worse! Very boring, strict and annoying. He was a round man and had that hideous pair of eyeglasses on the bridge of his nose. That thing makes him look so unhappy!
I decided to ignore him as I hurried to class. Of course with him hurrying as well. He's just never tired.
***
Poke poke poke.
This has been going on for the past five minutes. Dylan, who didn't grab the hint that I'd been purposely ignoring him the entire time, decided to continue poking me with his pencil.
"What?" I snapped when I had had enough. He smirked, looking amused. He was clearly having fun torturing me.
Mr Baxter turned towards us and raised an eyebrow.
"Care to enlighten me on what you two are bickering about?" He asked in his odd American accent. I internally rolled my eyes. Bickering? We weren't even doing that! Dylan raised a hand. Oh no!
