Wallace's parents lived in an affluent country area, in a five bedroom barn conversion. Most Sundays, Wallace's mum would pick up Michelle and her two children and drive them round to her house to spend the day and Wallace's other friends would also join them, this included Basil, Sophie and Rose.
While the mothers would enjoy each others company and a welcomed break from the children. The children would play in the garden, climbing trees, playing in the mud, chasing the chickens and playing hide and sneak.
Hide and seek was always better when there were more children at the house. It was on the day of 2nd May 2049, that whilst playing hide and seek, Rose kissed a boy for the first time. Only the boy she kissed wasn't the popular and good looking boy called Sonny, it was his awkward uncouth brother Markus. In fact, she kissed two boys, Marin first and Kusin afterwards.
It was an impulsive kiss which occurred when Markus accidentally hid behind a hay stack in one of the barns, where Rose was hiding.
Sonny was hiding close by. His wasn't there by accident, he had planned it, wanting to be as close to the girl he felt he had feelings for, as he could.
The kiss had occurred when Markus started repeating an apology about hiding in the same place as Rose. Rose laughed it off, attempting to explain to him that she didn't mind. Markus kept apologizing and Rose leant over and kissed him on both heads. Markus stopped talking immediately.
Rose found his astonished faces amusing and giggled. Someone else, very close wasn't amused
