Michelle had returned home to find that Craig had moved out. She cried all night. Michelle found her only support from the government. Not the emotional support she required, however they did supported her financially with DPD funding, but also with DPD family breakdown support.
It had been common that one of the parents of "threetwins" would leave the household soon after the birth, in many cases the child with DPD would be put up for adoption. By December 2041, only one child with DPD had been adopted and that child, a young girl by the name of Rosie was later seen in child porn.
Michelle chose not to put either of her children up for adoption, however life would not be easy for her ever again. Her friendships deteriorated, she became a home carer for Markus and even her family stopped visiting.
When Sonny and Markus turned one, Sonny received the expensive presents, Markus's only presents were specially made DPD t-shirts.
Craig did eventually come back into their life, wanting to spend time with Sonny, Markus was never even mentioned by the boys father. In fact, Craig used to boast about his son, Sonny at work, but there was always only one son.
This was fine for Markus in his early years. However, the older he got the greater his perception of these disparities. Markus and Sonny were both loving boys, so when Markus's awareness of the privileges his brother received became evident to him, this same awareness developed in Sonny and Sonny was often seen rejecting these privileges. This was true with one very big exception, his father.
