Can't Help But Fall // Travlyn (Slow updates)

Chapter 3

Katlyn

     I walk down stairs, following the sweet smell of bacon and eggs. I walk into the kitchen. Travis was bent over the stove, making breakfast. He turns around and smiles. "Morning, beautiful." He says. "Morning Travis," I say, still half asleep. He comes over and kisses my forehead. "Wait, how did you get in here?" I asked. "Oh, after you fell asleep I slept on the couch." He says. That makes more sense. I thought. "The eggs and bacon smell good. I didn't know you cooked." I said.

        We sit down at the table and start eating. The eggs were delicious!! "Wow! Travis, these eggs are amazing!" I exclaim. He smiles. "Thanks, baby." He says. He pauses for a second. "Can I call you that?" He asks. "Why not," I said. "Hey, do you want to go on a picnic tonight?" He asks. "As long as you cook." I joke. He winks. "I'll take you to a secluded part in the forest. You'll love it." He says. "Added bonus: Kawii~Chan won't fangirl over us," I say. He chuckles. "I never thought of that." He says. 

~~~Magical time skip to the forest~~~

     Travis uncovers my eyes. I find myself in a forest clearing, about 30ish feet wide. "So? What do you think?" He asks. I smile. "I love it!" I exclaim. He smiles. We spread out the blanket and get the sandwiches out. I had a turkey and mayo sandwich. It was really good; after all, it was my favorite kind. After I finished, I started exploring. Travis followed me. I climbed up a tree. He followed. "This is nice," I say, taking in a breath of fresh air. "It is." He responds. He turns to me and starts kissing me. The clearing is beautiful, the food was great, and now I'm making out with Travis. I thought. Could this get any better?

His phone rings.

Stupid phone, I thought.

     He pulls away and answers it. "Hello?" After a second, his face falls. "Ok." He says, his voice grim. "Alright, I'll be there tomorrow." He finishes and hangs up. "Who was that?" I ask. "It was my brother. My parents got in a car accident. They're in bad shape, so he wants me to check in on them a.s.a.p." He says. I gasp, my eyes filling with tears.

     What she doesn't know, and probably, hopefully, won't find out, is that I have to live with them for a few weeks. I was shocked when I got the call. I want them to be alright, but at the same time, I don't want to leave my Baby. I'm going to miss her.

     We talk and laugh for a little while longer, then we go to her house to watch Once. We go up to her room and watch 3 episodes, each 40 minutes long. "I think I should go home," I say. "Aww, darn it! Alright, you will need your rest for tomorrow." She says. I kiss her and go to her bedroom door. "Thanks for understanding. See you soon, Baby." I say. "See you soon. I love you." She says. "I love you,  too." And with that, I left my Baby and packed for a week at my parents' house.
