CHAPTER 2

ELY's P.O.V.

"Jenni, help me lose these ugly vermins." I checked my side mirrors and saw two black cars chasing us. I grit my teeth as I took a sharp curve to the left. I heard groans and complains in the back but I ignored them. My attention is focused on the road and losing the cars that are chasing us. Who could these people be? Are they the same people who wants Jimin dead?

"Wear the eyeglasses I gave you. It will show you the way. I will control the traffic lights so you don't have to worry." Jenni instructed in my earpiece. My brows furrowed and I bit my lip. "The eyeglasses you gave me last night, I forgot it in our quarters." I want to hit my head. I am really forgetful sometimes.

"WHAT? YOU LEFT IT IN OUR QUARTERS?" Jenni yelled through my earpiece. I instinctively removed it from my ear. "What the hell?!" I yelled back. I think I am going to be deaf. I massaged my ears with my right hand while my left hand never left the steering wheel.

"Why what happened?" Josan was startled as she looked at me curiousity. I just shook my head and returned the earpiece to my hear. I can hear Jenni's heavy breathing on the other end probably calming herself down. It took her five seconds before she started speaking again but in a calmer tone. "You are unbelieavable, Ely. Didn't I tell you it was improtant?" She sighed and I sighed with her. "I know. Now, could you please stop the drama. Nothing can be done so let's stop wasting time, just tell me the directions. Which way to go?" I retorted in a remote tone. "You know, sometimes I am curious how you can shift your mood so fast like one moment you angry then the next moment you..." She is starting to talk non-sense again and it is starting to annoy me. We are in the middle of a chase, we have no time for small talks!

"JENNI! THE DIRECTIONS!" I yelled in frustration. I heard a curse from Josan and the boys from the back but I paid them no attention. Jenni also cursed on my ear in surprise. "Why are you yelling?" She asked and I swear I can feel the heat rise to my ear. At that moment, I want to reach out through my earpiece and knock some sense into her. I closed my eyes momentarily and took a deep breath before I spoke again.

"I swear to God, I will beat you pretty little ass after this. Now enough with the non-sense, should I turn left or right?" I asked through gritted teeth. I wasn't able to hear what she was said because we heard a loud thud and felt the impact of being thrown on the shoulder of the road. One of the black cars with a very dark tinted Window on our tail suddenly bumped us! We were all shook. I was also shook when I heard a loud piercing scream from the back. What the hell was that? Where did that came from? I look through my rearview mirror and I saw the boys hugging each other tightly. I wonder who screamed.

"Ely, look out!" Josan screamed in panic as she pulled the steering wheel to the left. I looked back on the road and I almost bumped into a white sedan. "Whew! That was close!" Josan looked relieve, but then we were bumped again.

"Shit! Jenni, give me another route. I need to lose them. They are getting more aggressive." I look at the side mirrors and they are now both on our sides. I can't move forward because there is a huge truck blocking our way. I was waiting for Jenni's direction but there was only silence on the other line and I am now feeling antsy. I was about to yell a curse again when Jenni started speaking.

"Go straight ahead. When You see Hana Bank turn left. After 800 meters turn right then after 300 meters when you see Hi-Mart turn left. Take another left turn when you reach Citibank and Voila, Big Hit Building." Jenni instructed. "The decoy vans are on their way, they will be there in 3,2-" And true to her words, two black van similar to the one I am driving appeared in my rearview mirror. I was about to make a sharp left turn when we felt another bump. The strong impact made me hit my head in the window. I felt a shap pain on my temple and it made me boil in anger.
