CHAPTER 3

ELY's P.O.V.

Everyone can feel the tension in the air. Nobody dares to move or speak. I slowly put my free hand at the back to give signal to my teammates. We will attack in the count of three. I folded my finger one by one. Was about to fold my third finger when we heard a loud noise. Someone opened the door of our of the van ran out screaming, followed by the rest of the boys towards a building. We were startled because of the noise and because of that the shoot out started. I cursed out loud as we all ran for cover.

Those idiots! Now I am getting pissed. "Candice, Monika, Josan take care of those idiots. I can take care of this." I don't care anymore. I reloaded my guns and brought out the other gun I was hiding in my back and walked out of cover.

"ELY!!!" I can hear the panic from Candice's voice but I paid her no attention. I know I can kill them all. I raised my hands and started to aim at in their heads.

Just when I was about to pull the trigger Monika spoke in my in-ear. "Remember Ely we need them alive." She reminded me. I clicked my tongue in annoyance.

"I know." I answered back without looking and shifted my aim to their hands and knees. It didn't took me a minute to disarm them. I felt satisfied seeing them all lying on the floor.

Now they are unarmed. The girls and I started walking towards them so that we can tie them up and bring them to the head quarters. They are just big useless men. Even though I know that we caught them all. There is a nagging feeling that something is wrong. I keep looking at the boys in the back. They just came out of the corner where they were hiding. I still feel unsettled. Something isn't right! My eyes roam around the vicinity. I checked the streets and the establishments around us and alas! I saw it! I saw something sparkled on top of the building in front of us.

A Sniper! I looked back and saw the boys are now standing beside their van, watching us. I felt my heart skipped a beat. My eyes went wide and ran back to them in panic.

"Get behind the Van! Now!" I saw how their expressions changed to panic as they scrambled back to the Van. Because there were seven of them and there is only one door it took them a while to get in. I saw red light directed at the last guy who was about to get in. He is that guy with big round eyes.

"Fvck!" I muttered as I ran to the best I can. Then I heard the shot. I jumped the short distance between us and we fell down the ground. I ended up on top of him. I heard him groan in pain. I immediately stood up and check if he is okay.

"Are you okay? Does anything hurt?" I asked as I inspect every part of him but he didn't respond he was just staring at me. I guess he is in shock. When I saw no wound, I immediately ran to the building to catch the culprit but unfortunately, when I reach the rooftop, it is empty. There were no signs of the sniper.

"Argh! What the hell?!" I screamed from the top of my lungs as I kicked an empty soda can I saw to release my anger and frustration. I can't believe that someone almost almost got hurt on my watch. I went down the building and see that everything has already been cleared. The wounded men are now nowhere to be seen. The boys and girls are gone, too. There is only Monika left who was leaning on her bike waiting for me patiently. Shee threw me her helmet as I came closer.

"Hop On. They are already home. Josan and Candice are with them. The suspects are already brought to the nearest police station. Josan unnie said she will take care of it after dropping off the boys. Jenni is also on her way there. Maiko said that she will be here later. She needs to discuss something looks like this is no ordinary Case." I just nod my head and hopped on her bike. I was quiet but deep in my mind I am fuming in anger. I haven't catched the sniper. What a disapoointment on my part.
