CHAPTER 14

ELY's P.O.V.

We were all so quiet inside our van on our way to our headquarters. No one dared to say a word.

I look out the window as I try to recall my memories of what really happened last night. How did I end up with Jungkook in bed? But as I try to remember, the pulsating pain in my head is getting worse. Stupid hangover! I really can't remember a thing. I look at my teammates one by one, wondering if I could ask them but they were all lost in thought so I decided against it. I closed my eyes and try to take a nap in case it can help reduce the pain in my head.

When we arrived in our headquarters, we immediately went to our own rooms and took a shower. We want to look presentable. At exactly 9:00 a.m., we are all seated inside the conference room. Maiko, Candice and Bembem all looked grim. "So what is this meeting all about?" Jenni asked, breaking the silence. She hates beating around the bush. Maiko looked at her before she turned the projector on. We were appalled to see the gruesome images on the screen. "Fvck!" I heard Josan cursed. "We received another death threat, but the boys don't know yet. Big Hit wants to keep this quiet as much as possible to prevent panic from the A.R.M.Y.s, the netizens and of course, the boys." Maiko explained while showing photos of bloody and wounded people. I clicked my tongue and chewed my lower lip. It looks like this isn't a simple case.

"A.R.M.Y.s? They have their own soldiers? Then, what do they need us for?" Angel asked with an irritated expression. I nearly throwed my cup of coffee on her in annoyance but Bembem beat me to it. She hit her head which earned her a glare from Angel. "Ouch! that hurts!" Angel whined and touched her head where Bemben hit her but Bembem just glared at her. I saw how Bembem looked at me warily before she turned back to Angel. "Shush! Didn't you study their profile before accepting this mission?" Bembem accused. Angel suddenly turned silent before she looked away without answering. "You didn't read their profiles didn't you?" Monica repeated the accusation and this time I can see some tinge of pink on Angel's cheeks. Angel just pouted and shook her head. Maiko sighed before she took back our attention and continued the meeting.

"They said they are going attack tomorrow at Gocheok Skydome and their target is Park Jimin." Maiko stated before her lips formed at thin line. "What? Why him?" Bembem suddenly stood up and hit the table. We all just raised our eyebrows at her. Why the violent reaction? She looked at us with a shocked expression, looks like she wasn't aware of her expression. She bowed her head in humiliation before she returned to her seat.

"Ehem, I mean, why him what did he do to deserve it?" Bembem repeated the question in a much calmer voice. "We have current leads but it still lacks evidence. So, I need you guys to be more observant. Constant vigilance! Report anyone or anything suspicious." Maiko continued as she handed us folders. "That is the blueprint of Gocheok skydome, the profiles of our current suspects and the summary of our operation for tomorrow. Later, we will conduct an ocular inspection of the place so that we could determine all possible point of entry and exit. Are there any more questions?" Maiko looked at us one by one. When nobody said a thing, she just shrugged her shoulders and turned off the projector. "Okay, I think that's it for now. You guys can go. I'll just send a message on the time of meeting tomorrow." Maiko said dismissively as she slowly massaged her head forehead. I was waiting for everyone to leave so that I could talk to Maiko but nobody moved.

There was a complete silence in the room until Josan decided to break it. "Ahm, so what happened last night?" Josan asked as she looked around us. I looked at her wanting to ask the same thing. I saw Candice squirmed in her chair. I think she was about to answer when suddenly the door of our conference room burst open and revealed a middle-age man wearing a navy blue coat and tie. "Papa!" Maiko uttered in complete surprise. We all stood up and bowed as a sign of respect.
