CHAPTER 41

ELY'S P.O.V.

I directly went to our room, the one I shared with Sarrah sunbaenim and leave the chaos down the lobby. I decided to change my clothes into a jogger pants and a white V-Neck shirt. As I was changing, the scene where IU kissed Jungkook keeps playing on my head and the word Fiancee keeps ringing in my ears. I can feel tiny needles pricking my heart. I shook my head to forget it. There is a bigger problem on hand. Enrique, the one who killed my parents, wants me. But how did he know that I am still alive? How did he even find me? What does he wants from me? And what should I do now?

I stare at my window and the open sea. An idea popped into my head. I grabbed my phone and went to the storage room of the hotel where all the keys of the hotel rooms and vehicles are kept. Why do I know? Because this Resort is owned by our group, the Butterfly Secret Society and we used to stay here for a vacation after completing a mission. I looked around and luckily there are no people in sight. I opened the door and a bellboy who was seated at the front desk area looked at me with wondering eyes before he stood up suddenly as if his butt was on fire.

"Yes, ma'am? How may I help you?" He asked politely. "I need the key of "The Little Mermaid"." I stated but he didn't move. "The Little Mermaid is my own yacht I bought a few years ago. "Ahm, I'm sorry ma'am but that yacht are not for rent but if you want a boat I can arrange for you." He offered. I frowned. I know he is just doing his job but I am getting impatient. "Give me the key. The yacht I am referring to is mine." I replied through gritted teeth as I control my patience. "I.. I'm sorry ma'am but..." I didn't let him finish. I grabbed the pen I saw on the desk and pointed it at his throat in a swift motion. I saw the fear flash through his eyes before his body began to quiver. "Ma'am, please don't hurt me. I am the breadwinner of our family and if I die my family will also die." I looked at him with a stoic expression. "Don't worry. You won't! Just give me the key." I stated in a low dangerous voice. With shaky hand, she grabbed the key with a mermaid keychain and handed it to me. I immediately removed the pen pointed on his neck and grabbed the key before uttering a soft "Thanks!" I heard him gasped for breath the moment I walked away. I didn't really have the intention of hurting him but there is no way I can acquire those keys without using a little force.

I feel excited the moment I saw my yacht. It's been ages. Was it 3-4 years ago since I last drive this? I put the key on the ignition and drove into the open sea without any difficulty. I guess I still know how to drive this thing even though I haven't practiced for years. After 30 minutes of traveling in the open sea, I finally arrived at Butterfly Island, the secret training grounds and head quarter of the Butterfly Secret Society where my uncle Felipe brought me to get trained and basically where I grew up. Uncle Enrique knows where to find me and so before he can get to me I need to get to him first. I know the Secret Society has the most advanced intelligence system and for sure it can find Enrique for me.

I anchored my boat and carefully looked around. Why does the island look deserted? Where are the people? I took the familiar path that I have taken for the last 8 years of my life, but the path now can be hardly seen because it is now covered with wild grass and plants. After a few minutes walk, I finally arrived at the metal gate of the facility, which to my surprise, is open and very rusty. There is even no guard standing on the guard post. What is going on here? This place is supposed to be secured. I slowly push the metal gate making a creaking sound and breaking the silence. I waited for somebody to come out of the building but no one came. Where are the people? This place is supposed to be filled by trainees and other members of the secret society but now, I see no one.

I walked down the dirty road to the facilities glass door and was suprised to see that it was chained and locked and studying the rust on the chains I can guess it has been here for a long time already. I wonder what happened while I was gone. The once active and full of life building is now an abandoned building. I took the pin from my hair and opened the lock. I smirked when I heard the clicked sound. I guess my skill is still intact. I removed the chains and opened the door. There are cobwebs on the ceiling and on the wall. I coughed a little when I inhaled some dust. The place is so dark and so I brought out my phone and opened the flashlight and made my way thought the powerhouse of the the building and opened the generator. Thankfully, it still worked. Light flooded the whole building as soon as I switched the power on.
