CHAPTER 44

Ely's P.O.V.

The cold metal on my temple made me froze on the spot. "Where do you think you're going Ely?" I look at the reflection in the window and saw Park Hyungsik holding his gun straight to my head. Just one wrong move and I am sure I will be resting in my grave for the rest of my life.

"What do you want Park Hyungsik?" I asked back trying to keep calm. "I waited for you last night. Why didn't you go? I thought you want to know the truth." I felt his hot breath on my nape and it sent shivers down my spine. It disgusts me. "What truth, the truth that you were a traitor?" I asked in a calm voice and that wiped out the smirk on his face.

I saw him clenched his jaw and so before he could pull the trigger and kill me I moved. It's as if my body is moving on its own. It remembers how to fight. I held his arm with the gun and twisted it before I hit it with my knee. The gun suddenly went off making the bullet ricochet through the wall before his grip on the gun loosened and it fell on the floor. Before he could reach it again, I kicked it away. Then I felt something hit me in my guts making me gasp for air before I hit the floor with a loud thud. I groaned in pain. I saw Hyungsik about to pin me down and so I rolled away and stood up. I threw a right hook that he was able to dodge but I made a roundhouse kick right after and it hit him hard in the face that made him tumbling down the floor. I grabbed the gun on my back and pointed it at him which made him froze. I thought he was at least scared but suddenly he started laughing. "Is there something funny?" I asked quite pissed with his reaction.

"Looks like your memory has returned, but you are a little rusty." He whispered and then suddenly there is another gun in his hand and without preamble, he started shooting at me. Good thing I still had my fast reflexes and so dropped on the floor and rolled behind the parked car. I felt something warm on my cheek and when I touched it, it felt wet. I looked at my hand and saw my fresh red blood and then something in me got triggered. I want to kill him. I gripped my gun tighter as I ready myself to attack. "It's no used hiding baby girl. Your uncle will be coming here soon and will kill everyone you love, if you won't cooperate." I froze. My Uncle?

"What's going on here?" My eyes went wide when I heard that familiar voice. "What is going here, Oppa? I heard a gunshot from here and so I-" There was a sudden pause before Maiko continued talking. "Why are you holding a gun?" Maiko asked with obvious confusion. "Well, I am just doing my job." Hyungsik answered nonchalantly. I raised my head a little to see what was happening and to my horror, Hyungsok pointed the gun on Maiko, his cousin! That made me reveal myself from where I was hiding and pointed my gun at Hyungsik. "Oh! Hello there, Ely! So you finally decided to surrender?" He asked but his gun is still pointed at Maiko. I gritted my teeth as I positioned my gun directly on Hyungsik's head. "Put the gun down, Hyungsik! I am the one you want. Leave Maiko out of this." I bargained but he only smirked at me before he shook his head. "Na-ah, princess! You have no right to bargain with me. I call the shot here." He stated confidently before he looked at me with a smirk on his face. I am trembling in fear and in anger. What should I do now? "Ely, put the gun down and Maiko will be fine." He stated. "No! Ely, don't do it! Just shoot him! Kill the traitor!" Maiko interrupted. I saw how Hyungsik made a face as if he were hurt by Maiko's statement. "Aww, you want your cousin to die?" Hyungsik asked in a pout. I saw Maiko clenched her palm into fist to control her trembling hands. "I don't have a snake relative." She commented and that earned her a huge laughter from Hyungsik. Maiko and I exchanged glances. We think Hyungsik is not sane anymore. Why didn't I see this before?

"Put the gun down Ely and come with me. You're uncle is waiting for you." Hyungsik ordered. I saw Maiko shook her head and so I held on to my gun but when Hyungsik suddenly fired and I saw Maiko suddenly dropped to the ground I saw red. I fired my gun and with one shot I hit Hyungsik in his head and his lifeless body dropped to the ground.
