To Love Another

Chapter 8

ANOREY'S POV

When Embry left I went up to my room and jumped into my bed. He was so sweet and caring that it made my heart melt. I knew that I was starting to fall for him, but I also wanted David locked up in jail so he couldn't hurt Embry. I knew that if I went out with Embry while David was still free, there was a chance my prince could be hurt. I wanted to move on with my life. I wanted to be with someone that would take care of me and treat me right.

"Anorey."

I looked up to see my older brother standing in the doorway.

"Hey. What's up?" I asked.

"I came to see if you wanted to do something tomorrow, since mom is never home anymore. I was thinking we could take Al to the park and then go catch a movie on the boardwalk." He said leaning against the door.

"I'd love to. If we have time, we could probably buy Al some new toys and few outfits since his old ones are a bit small on him." I said grinning.

"Okay. We'll go before your date with Embry, that way you have time to come home and get dressed before he gets here." He said smirking.

"Alright mister. Now get out so I can shower." I laughed pushing him out the door.

"Good night sis." He said kissing my cheek.

"Good night." I said closing the door.

After I showered, I dressed in my favorite pajamas and went to bed, thinking of my Prince Charming and our date tomorrow. The next morning I dressed and went to make breakfast for everyone with a skip in my step. Nothing could ruin my mood.

BANG!

I spoke to soon.

I turned the fire off on the food and ran to the hidden passage that led upstairs to Ashton's room. The boys were going into the underground tunnel that was under Ashton's floor boards. This tunnel was put here in case of a natural disaster of in case someone tried to break in. Like now.

"Hey wait." I whispered.

Ashton looked up and helped me down into the opening before silently closing the door. Just as the door shut, the door to his bedroom shot open. 

"Search every inch of this house! She coulnd't have gone far." 

David!

"What the hell is he doing here?" Ashton whispered.

"I don't know. But we need to keep going and find somewhere safe until we can get help." I said looking at him.

"Mamma." Alistair cried in his sleep.

"We need to hurry. If we don't he'll get sick." Ashton said speeding up his pace.

We ran down the tunnel as fast as we could, without making much noise, and came to a stop when the tunnels divided. We took the right passage knowing it led under the Police station and into the Chef's office. I took out my phone and saw that I had a signal. I began dialing Embry's number as we began to climb the stairs to the office. Alistair clinging to Ashton's back.

"Hello." Embry Answered.

"Embry. We need your help. David broke into my house with his friends and is looking for me." I said as tears streamed down my face.

"I'm on my way. Where are you?" He asked.

"In a tunnel under the Chef's office. There are hidden passages in my house that leads to the Police station." I explained.

"Okay. I'll be there as fast as I can. Hold on okay." He soothed.

"Okay. See you soon." I said hanging up.

"Was that Embry?" Ashton asked.

"Yeah. He's meeting us in the office." I told him.

When we finally reached the opening that lead to the Chef's, Ashton gave me Alistair and pushed lid of thr tunnel up until it made a loud clanking noise. He pulled himself up into the opening before turning around and helpng Alistair and I out. When we looked up, it was then we realized we disrupted a meeting. Everyone was facing us with confused looks on their faces.

"What is the meaning of this?" The Chef said shoving her way through the crowd.

She gasped when she saw is sitting by the tunnel.

"What happened?" She said helping  us up.

"David." Was all I said.

"Call the Marshall. If he has help them it will be even harder to catch him. I need four teams to go to their house immediately. Be careful. He is very dangerous. You guys are going with Embry when he gets here. He will take you to a safe house until we catch David." The Chef ordered.

"What about our mama? We can't just leave her here, he will kill her. He will kill anyone I know until he gets his hands on me. He will stop at nothing." I yelled at her.

"We will find your mother and make sure she's safe." She told me calmly.

Just then, the door burst open. We turned and saw Embry panting in the doorway. He looked around the room until his eyes landed on me. He ran to and scooped me into his arms pulling me to his chest.

"Are you guys alright?" He asked stroking my hair.

"Yeah. I'm okay, just a bit tired." I said.

"Same here. How did you get here so fast? Norey called you only five minutes ago." Ashton said.

"I was going seventy in a forty-five zone. I was worried that something happened to you guys." Embry explained.

"Nowey." A small voice said.

I looked up and saw Alistair reaching out for me. I took him from Ashton's hands and cradled him against my chest, while still in Embry's arms.

"Hey little guy." I said rubbing my nose against his causing him to giggle.

"Emry." He said looking up at Embry.

"Hey short stuff." Embry said ruffling his hair.

"We need to feed him. He hasn't had his bottle yet and I bet he's hungry. Then we need to figure out what we're going to do about David." I said.

"Okay. Meet me in my office in half an hour. I need to send a team out to find the bastard before he does something stupid." The Chief said heading to the front.

"Let's go get you guys something to eat. I'm pretty sure you're hungry." Embry said leading us to the café.
