There was a knock on the door to the apartment so I got up and answered it. Zach was on the other side. I admitted, "I'm not going to get used to this."

He walked in when I moved out of the way and informed, "The place will be put into your name later today."

I shut the door and nodded, "At least no vampires will be able to walk in freely."

Zach walked into the kitchen and I noticed just how much jazz music there was in the living room. I put some jazz music on and I could see Zach's smile from here. I couldn't help but smile either and Zach informed, "That is my favorite album of all time."

I smiled, "Well, then we shall listen to it all day."

Zach denied, "No, I have to help Marcel today." I wasn't too sure why, but that disappointed me greatly. "I came by to check on you, to make sure Esther hasn't killed you."

I sighed, "Well, I need a favor." Zach raised his eyebrows in confusion. "I need to know where Davina is. I can't focus, not right now, so I need help breaking the cloaking spell so I can find my mother."

Zach asked, "So you and Davina break the cloaking spell then what?"

I shook my head and explained, "No, Davina stalls the cloaking spell long enough that I can use a locator spell to find my mother. Then she lets it fall and it stays in place."

Zach looked confused and I could understand why. I had talked about breaking the cloaking spell earlier, but I knew better. I pointed out, "There has to be a reason as to why there is a cloaking spell on my mother." I wouldn't do anything that would hurt my Mom unless she was actually a bad person and I needed to. "I'm not going to get rid of it permanently, just temporary. Just long enough to do my locator spell and get on with my search."

Zach questioned, "Why should I tell you where Davina is?"

I walked towards the kitchen and I could hear the desperation in my voice as I pleaded, "Please. Davina's powerful, she can hold off the cloaking spell so that I can find my mother."

Zach looked at me before sighing, "Fine. I'll find out where she is. But you have to tell me about my descendant."

I asked, "Lydia?"

Zach confirmed, "Yeah, her."

He pulled out his phone and sent Davina a text before looking at me. His eyes held curiosity so I tried to explain Lydia the best I could to him, "Lydia is like an acquired taste. She's basically your typical high school mean girl, but there's more to her than that." Zach really did look curious about her now. "Lydia's one of the smartest people I know, she's the smartest student in my grade. A real genius, but she hides it behind a facade of stupid. Lydia is actually dating this dick right now and I think he's the real reason she hides her knowledge."

Zach asked, "So I have a mean girl genius as my descendant?"

I nodded, "Pretty much, yeah."

Zach nodded and said "Ok."

I assured, "Lydia would do just about anything for me and those she cares about. She can care, deep down."

He stayed with me for most of the day as he listened to what I had to say before telling me where Davina was and leaving. I grabbed my stuff before leaving the apartment. I left the building and got into my car. I drove off and eventually found what I was looking for. I used a simple spell to get in and saw Davina on the couch and the other witch, Kaleb, or Kol Mikaelson, sitting by her. I interrupted, "Well, this is heart touching."

Both snapped their heads to me. Kol raised his hand I warned, "Don't try. I've got more magic than you. Besides I'm here to collect on a favor."

They both looked confused until Davina remembered, "You saved my life."

I nodded, "You owe me. It's a very simple favor. Really, it is. All I need you to do is hold a cloaking spell off for a couple of minutes."

Davina asked, "Why not just break it?"

I denied, "I don't want to. I want it to protect who it is protecting, but I need their location." It was all very true. "So...there lies our problem."

Davina said, "You want me to basically stall the spell while you use a locator spell."

I confirmed, "Smart girl."

Davina sighed and sat up. I grinned and got the map out before lighting the candles with my magic. Davina asked, "Do you have something of the person's?"

I took my bracelet off and gave it to her. Davina took it and I knew that she was using it to find the cloaking spell. When she nodded to me, I took the knife and cut my palm. My blood fell onto the map and I started to chant. When I stopped, the blood moved from New Orleans to Arkansas. Davina was about to stop but I commanded, "Don't stop! I have to find her!"

I threw the map onto the ground before going through my backpack. I eventually pulled out the map of Arkansas and put it on the table. I cut my hand again since my previous cut had already healed. I resumed my chanting until I found the location. Davina stopped and I used a spell to dry the blood up so I wouldn't lose the way. Kol asked, "Who is that a locator for?"

I looked at him and admitted, "My mother." Kol looked taken back and I grabbed my stuff and the bracelet from Davina. "Thank you, Davina."

She nodded and once I had everything I left. When I got into my car, I looked at the map and asked: "What the bloody hell are you doing in Arkansas?" It clicked. "No, you aren't there yet. Are you? You're headed there."

The grin that was plastered on my face was inevitable when I realized I knew exactly where I would be able to find my mother in a few days.
