I checked myself in the mirror that was on the wall as I heard a groan. I smiled and turned around so that I could look at Zach. He opened his eyes and looked at me. Zach questioned, "Why are you all dressed up?"
I ignored it and asked my own question, "Do I look nice?" I pointed to him. "Be honest."
Zach blinked his eyes and rubbed his head, "Yeah, you do." He blinked again in confusion. "Why do you look so nice?"
I grinned, "I have a date."
Zach sat up and asked, "You do?"
I nodded and turned back to the mirror. I countered, "Well, it's not really a date, per se." I looked at him using the mirror. "The guy I'm going out with is a witch and he may know how to find Mum."
Zach questioned, "So you're going on a date with him?"
I nodded, "Only way he would give me his spell. And who knows? Maybe we'll really like each other." I wasn't going to deny myself the chance at some fun. "I'm not staying in New Orleans and not having some fun. Dating is fun."
Zach stood up and shook his head, "No."
I turned to him and walked over to him. I patted his shoulder, "You don't get to decide whether or not I have fun, especially since I can..." I pushed him back down onto the couch, "...easily overpower you. And not with my magic." Zach groaned so I left him there as I headed for the door. "There are some blood bags in the fridge!"
He didn't do anything as I headed for the door until he asked: "What's his name?"
I shrugged, "Brendon."
When Zach didn't ask anything else, I left and headed for the Rousseau's. When I got there I sat at a booth, and eventually, an older boy joined me. He asked, "Rosalie?"
I grinned, "Brendon?"
He smiled, "It is a pleasure to finally meet the witch who killed some many werewolves."
I shrugged, "Well, it is a pleasure to meet a New Orleans witch."
Brendon looked surprised, but I hadn't met a New Orleans witch beside Davina. Brendon nodded, "I have a feeling we could have a lot of fun."

Brendon walked me all the way to the door of the apartment and I went to go in but he grabbed my arm, "Rosalie." I turned to look at him and he reached into his jacket before holding out a folded piece of paper. "A promise is a promise. This is the spell you were looking for." I took the spell from him. "I hope you find your mother. And I hope that we can do this again sometime."
I pushed a loose strand of hair behind my ear and nodded, "Me too."
Brendon leaned forward and kissed my cheek, "Have a good day."
I smiled, "You too."
He walked down the hall and I watched him. I waited until he turned around the corner before walking into the apartment. Right, when I walked in my smile turned to a frown the second Zach's voice touched my ears, "Did you have a good time, Rosalie?"
I looked at him and scoffed, "I will not hesitate to snap your neck." I couldn't deny my feelings for Zach, but if he had feelings for me, he wasn't doing anything about them. "I didn't see you asking me out on a date."
Zach snorted, "I don't have a death wish. You're a Mikaelson." I raised an eyebrow in confusion. "All of the Mikaelson boys scare off the girls' dates. I'm not stupid."
I rolled my eyes, "I can handle my family." I held up the spell. "Besides, I got it."
Zach nodded, "Good, now use it."
I scoffed, "Well, love, I'm gonna need more time. I've never even seen the spell before." I didn't even know what all I needed for it. "It's gonna take me a little bit."
Zach pointed out, "That's the one thing we don't have."
I looked at him, "Get me candles."
He walked out of the living room while I went into the kitchen and got salt. I got the spell ready. Zach came back with candles and I set them up. When I got to work, it was almost dark out.
++++++++++++++++
I had been at the spell for hours now, and it was already past midnight. Zach pleaded, "Come on, Rose. Go to bed, it's been hours and you haven't gotten anywhere." I didn't need him to tell me that I hadn't actually gotten anywhere. "You can pick up tomorrow."
I shook my head, "No, I have to find her. I have searched too damn long to have her right in my grasp but just out of reach." I kept my eyes on the spell. "I am finding her tonight."
The sweat that covered my body dripped off and onto the floor or table as I continued to work with the spell. Finally, I saw images and of a woman and then another woman. I could also see them getting out of wherever they were so I knew that if I wanted to find her I would have to work fast.
My eyes snapped open and I gasped. Zach was by my side within a second. He asked, "Are you ok?"
I nodded, "It's an old house. The house is big, but people can't leave." I ran my hand through my hair. "Only those with enough power can break out." Zach's face held recognition on it. "What? What is this place, Zach?" He didn't answer. "If Marcel was there and I knew what and where it was, you would want me to tell you! So where is this place?"
Zach sighed, "I'll take you to it. But I have to drive."
I was about to argue with him but I wanted to find Mum more than I wanted to drive. I let him take my keys and we left.

We stopped in front of the house from the spell. I got out when I saw the doors open. I saw two women from the spell and as I made my way over there the gate was thrown off and I moved out of the way before the blonde haired witch left. The other was left there and I asked, "Mum?"
The witch's head snapped to me. She smiled, "Sweetheart."
I couldn't help but laugh as I ran towards her and hugged her. I informed, "I brought my car."
Mum laughed, "Thank you! I can't stand walking all the way to the Abattoir." We broke our hug and headed to my car. "Why are you hardly wearing any clothes, sweetheart?"
I looked at her and questioned, "This is the second time we have seen each other in the past 12 years, and that's the first thing you ask me?" Mum gave me a look. "The spell I used to find you was pretty damn hard. The spell was hard and it was my first time using it. It took a lot of hours and a lot of sweat to find you. Literally. I sweated through my clothes."
Mum accepted the answer and when we got to my car Zach was gone. Mum got into the passenger side and I got into the driver's side. I drove off and took her to the Abattoir. When she got out but I didn't, Mum asked: "You don't live here?"
I shook my head, "Nah, I gotta a place. That way I don't have to live with Klaus."
Mum chuckled, "I'll see you tomorrow."
I nodded, "Tomorrow."
