Mum sat the plate down in front of me, "Eat up, birthday girl. We're gonna do whatever you want to today."
I looked up at her and asked, "Really?"
Mum nodded, "Really."
I grinned and ate before Mum forced me to change. She was true to her word and we spent the whole day together doing what I wanted. And we even had a dinner with my best friends, Scott and Lydia, and my brother. But Mum and I eventually headed back to her apartment to end our night together looking at the stars. I wasn't sure why, but it had become something we would do and admire together.

I was drawing when someone sat down by me on the roof. A very familiar voice admitted, "It's bloody amazing. You get your skills from my brother." I didn't have to look at the person to know who it was. "What happened?"
I looked at my Mum before shaking my head, "You'll think I'm weak."
Mum cupped my cheeks, "I'll never think that you're weak. Tell me what happened."
I looked down at my drawing before admitting, "Jackson was making fun of me again."
Mum asked, "What did he say to you this time?"
I informed, "He called me a bastard." Mum sighed and I knew she wasn't even sure how he knew the word. "Then he made fun of me for not living with both of my parents."
Mum sighed, "It doesn't matter that your father and I don't live together." She pulled me closer to her. "Your father loves you, and so do I. Never forget that, Rosalie. Never."
I nodded, "I won't."
She smiled and kissed the top of my head, "Come on, let's get you to bed."

I walked into the office and Mum was there. I wasn't sure why since I didn't have any appointments to my knowledge and I was supposed to be staying with Dad for the week. Mum held her hand out to me, "Come on."
I took it and walked with her. I asked, "Where are we going?"
Mum informed, "We are going out. We are going to have some fun." I was extremely confused by that. "I know we have all of our lives to make memories, but we should make them now while we have guaranteed time."
I nodded and got into her car when we got to it. We were silent for a while, just listening to the music. I asked, "Why are we making memories?"
Mum glanced at me through the mirror, "You know I never thought I'd find love, but you filled that hole in my heart."
I asked, "I did?"
Mum nodded, "Yeah, you did, sweetheart." I smiled, proud that I had done something that big. "Never forget that I love."
I asked, "Always and forever, right?"
Mum smiled, "Right."

I walked to the apartment door. Mum hadn't picked me up today like she was supposed to so Dad drove me over here and dropped me off. I used the key Mum had me keep in my bag in case something like this happened. I opened the door and walked in to see Mum and man yelling at each other. The man looked at me and it drew Mum's attention to me. She looked surprised to see me before turning to the man. Mum begged, "Niklaus, don't touch her, please. Please, she's my daughter."
Niklaus asked, "Your daughter?" He pointed at me. "We can't have children! It's impossible!"
Mum nodded, "I know, but she is mine!" I didn't have to be a genius or older to see the obvious fear in Mum's eyes. "I gave birth to her!"
Niklaus scoffed, "Lies! When will they end, Rebekah?"
Mum shook her head, "It isn't a lie, Nik. She is my daughter, she shares our blood. She shares your talents in art." Niklaus looked a little surprised but shook his head. "You have to believe me."
Niklaus was still shaking his head when he roared, "NO! THEY'RE ALL LIES! I LET YOU OUT AND YOU RUN FROM YOUR FAMILY AND THEN MAKE UP LIES TO TRY AND KEEP YOURSELF HERE! NO MORE, REBEKAH!"
Mum looked at me, "I love you. Always and forever."
The man quickly stabbed Mum in the chest with some sort of knife. I let out a scream as it pierced her chest. Mum's skin started to turn grey and black veins appeared. I was quick to rush over to her once she hit the ground. My cries for help turned into sobs.

I sat in the apartment drawing, I still had a key for here and the apartment was still paid by for someone. I wasn't sure who, but I had gotten a note when I was 14 that the apartment was still mine and I didn't need to worry about renting it. There was a knock on the door so I put my sketchpad down and walked over to it. I opened the door but no one was there or in the hall. I looked down and there was a small box.
I picked up the box and walked back into the apartment after shutting the door. I took the card first and read, "Your mother would want you to have it."
There was no way I would know just what it meant, so I opened the box. Some keys were sitting in the box along with another note. I recognized the keys from my memory, they had belonged to my Mum. I pulled them and the note out before reading, "There's a storage unit downtown in your name, one of the keys are to it. Beacon Hills Self Storage, 016. You'll find it there."
I grabbed my bag and coat before heading downstairs. I knew it would take me a while to walk there so I called Lydia to drive me. When Lydia's car pulled to a stop in front of the apartment building, I walked out and got in her car. Lydia asked, "Where to?"
I informed, "Beacon Hills Self Storage."
Lydia raised an eyebrow but headed that way. When we got there, she drove to unit 016 and stopped. We both got out and I used one of the keys on the key ring to unlock the door. I pushed the door up and turned on the light inside. There was something in the middle with a white sheet over it. I grabbed onto the sheet and pulled it off. Lydia and I both gave a few coughs due to the dust, but I was surprised to see my Mum's old Impala along with boxes and pictures of stuff. Lydia asked, "What is this?"
I muttered, "I think this belonged to my Mum."
Lydia raised her eyebrows, "Really?"
I nodded, "That's her car, and these are pictures of us." I held some of them up."Drawings I drew when I was a kid."
Lydia scoffed. "Why would she keep all this stuff?" I looked up at her. "I mean, she left you, Rose. Don't forget that, she did leave you when you were four. That's for certain."
Everyone thought that. Everyone just assumed that Mum left me. I shook my head knowing she was wrong. My Mum had been forced to leave me by that man that was there that day. And I could swear that I had seen him from time to time, almost like he was checking up on me. I sighed and Lydia nodded to the car, "Does it even run?"
I looked at the keys in my hand before getting into it and starting it up. The car roared to life and I grinned, now I could make my search easier.

So, remember to comment and vote and ask questions if you have them. All of these were memories of Rosalie's. In the next chapter since there will be some memories and stuff from the actual episode in there, all memories will be bolded and italicized.
