'She's not home yet :)' She wrote. They didn't want to risk actually talking as if one of their parents interrupted, there was nowhere to hide and it would be more obvious.

'Thank Goddess!' Link wrote back. Zelda loved to look at his handwriting, as it was just aesthetically pleasing in general.

Zelda heard a door open downstairs.

"Mum?" She shouted.

"Yeah, it's me" Her mother replied, locking the door behind her.

Zelda quickly wiped off what she wrote before, and started writing something else.

'She just got back. We were just in time!' Link smiled and sighed in relief. If they saw the time a minute later, they would've been in a sticky situation.

'It's good you remembered' Link wrote.

'I guess so' Zelda rubbed that off as she wrote something else.

She always stuck her tongue out to the side when she was concentrating, which Link found adorable. Once Zelda had looked up, she saw that Link had drawn a smiley face with it's tongue stuck out. She laughed rather hard as she held up her new message.

'I have an idea about what to wear for the party' It read.

'Oh yeah? What is it?'

'You'll have to wait until tomorrow ;)' She wrote, actually winking.

"Zelda, are you in your room?" Her Mum asked as she was walking up the stairs. Zelda gestured for Link to put his board down as she did the same thing.

"Yeah" She replied, turning towards her TV.

Her Mum walked in holding a box.

"Hi. What's in there?" Zelda asked, standing up.

Although Link was supposed to look like he was just a regular teenage boy in his room, he couldn't help but stare at Zelda as he felt his cheeks returning to the red they were before she left. Although he couldn't hear anything from her house, he liked to imagine things that they could be talking about.

"Although I don't understand it, I know how much you love those Hylian Knights movies, so I got you this dress. It's not quite the same as the girl in the films, but you could touch up to it yourself" She took the lid off of the box to reveal a beautiful white dress, which was a great canvas for Zelda's crafty work.

"Thank you so much! What timing as well, Halloween is just around the corner!"

Link couldn't exactly see what was going on. All he saw was Zelda covering her mouth over a box. He was actually quite concerned that something upsetting was in that box. He tried to make his peeking as subtle as possible, but it didn't work very well.

"Well, I'll leave you to that" Her Mum said as she left Zelda's room.

As soon as she left, Zelda picked up her whiteboard and wrote a message, the handwriting barely readable.

'OMG!!!!! You won't believe what Mum got me!!!!!'

'What??? I was worried for a second'

'You'll have to see tomorrow' She smiled, teasing him.

'Now I really am scared!'

'You're gonna love it'

'I better get some sleep then, if I want to be ready for that'

'You need it. Goodnight <3'

'Goodnight <3'

And with that, they both closed their blinds as well as their windows. Closing their blinds was their way of telling each other that they weren't home, or in a situation where they couldn't communicate in any way (other than text).

The next morning when Zelda awoke and pulled up her blinds, she saw that Link's were already up, which was rather unusual. It was around 12 when she awoke though, she it wasn't completely strange. Zelda stared at Link just playing video games for a good 5 minutes before he noticed her.

'Mum's gone to work. Come over?' Zelda wrote before Link could write anything questioning her staring.

'Yeah. Let me just get changed' He wrote.

'Me too, actually' She wrote. She grabbed the box that her Mum gave her and quickly went into her en suite.

Link saw her grab the box and do so, so he was really confused. He proceeded to get changed though, out of his pajamas for the first time in 3 days.

Link waited by his window for Zelda to come out and give him the go ahead, but she was taking quite a long time. Link just started to get slightly worried before he received a text from Zelda.

'You can come over now' It read.

'Why are you texting me?' They didn't normally text if they were available to write or talk.

'You'll see. I want this to be a surprise ;)' The wink made him laugh.

He did as he was told though and made his way to Zelda's room via the tree, then climbed in the window.
