"Zel, Are you alright?" He knocked on the bathroom door, letting Zelda know that he was there.

"Yeah. I'm just about done" She said, giving Link a bit of reassurance.

He stood back as he was waiting for her to come out. She never normally had any hassle with just changing.

The door slowly opened as Zelda walked into the room, wearing the white dress that fixed her perfectly. Link's jaw dropped to the ground as he saw her. He thought she was gorgeous before, but she seemed like she was actually glowing.

"Ta-da!" She spun around and tucked her hair behind her ears. She was a little bit embarrassed as Link was the first one to see her and he didn't have ny response for awhile. "Do you like it?" She asked, stepping closer to Link.

"Wow..." Link said, taking a big gulp. He felt himself start warming up and his cheeks turn red. "You're beautiful" Zelda laughed, looking Link in the eyes as she smiled. "I-it's beautiful!" He said, trying to distract from the other thing he let slip.

"So I was thinking, we could turn this into Beth's dress. All it needs is some baby blue rims and shorter sleeves. With my hair, I just need to wrap blue pieces of ribbon into 2 front sections, and my eyes are already the perfect colour!" She seemed so excited.

"Oh, so you're going as Beth?" Link could still barely get his words out.

"Yep!" She replied enthusiastically.

"Who should I go as?" Link asked, sitting down on Zelda's bed.

"Are you seriously asking that question, obviously you should Cal!"

Beth and Cal were the 2 main protagonists in the Hyrule Knights movies, and they actually looked a lot like Zelda and Link.

"Are you sure you're okay with that?" He asked.

"Um, yeah. Why wouldn't I be?"

"Because, you know, Beth and Cal are in a relationship. Everyone knows these movies, so people would probably just assume... You know..." He let out a small chuckle.

"That's not a problem. Only if you're fine with it though"

"Y-yeah! I am... So fine!" Link didn't quite know what to expect from her, but he liked the answer that she gave.

They both stood in silence for a second.

"So for you, we need a green tunic and hat. I think I have some white pants that you could use, and I definitely have some acceptable shoes" She stepped closer, looking into his eyes deeply. "You have the perfect eyes too" She said, only mere centimetres away from his face. "And your hair! We don't need to do literally anything with that either. Wow, this is going to be easier than I thought!"

After 5 hours had passed of the two making costume alterations, they were finished with Zelda's dress and had already started Link's tunic. It was mostly Zelda doing the handywork as she was the one good with a sewing machine, but Link would help out when he could.

Link got a text notification as saw that it was from his Mum.

'I'm going to be home in a few minutes x' It read. Link sighed and showed the text to Zelda, who sighed also.

"It seems that I need to get going" He stood up and sighed again, walking towards the window. He turned around to see Zelda looking at him.

"You really do look beautiful... With or without the dress" He said. He left immediately after though, not giving Zelda a chance to respond to his face. He did that a lot, said things he wanted to but fled immediately in fear of complete rejection. But that meant that he never saw Zelda's huge smile that appeared whenever he did so.

The two didn't talk, message or communicate in any way as Link knew that Zelda was working on his costume and he didn't want to interrupt her, and Zelda was too zoned out and focused to even think about it.

A few more hours later, Zelda's Mum came home. This meant that Zelda had to put a pause on costume creating as her Mum would get really suspicious if she saw Zelda making the costume for the male protagonist in the series. It really was unfortunate that their parents didn't get along.

This meant that they could actually communicate though, so it had its upsides. They talked through whiteboards for awhile, but Zelda got tired rather quickly. Link let her sleep as he continued to play his games.
