We've been sitting in this cramped and stuffy computer room for almost fifteen minutes. The alarm is still going and it's been so long that my fear has turned to annoyance.
"I wish that goddamn alarm would shut up already." I growl, covering my ears irritably.
"Dude, this is the first time we've been able to just hang out together! Let's take charge of this time, chat, catch up, have fun." Kat says happily, spinning like a child in her wheeled chair.
"Would both of you shut up please? You have no idea where the guards might be." Jordan hisses, giving Kat and I each a glare.
The two of us return the favor.
-You guys can use telepathy.- Jordan sends to everyone in a softer tone.
I roll my eyes and retreat to the far corner of the room to mess with some computers. Maybe I could play with one, I doubt Jordan would mind too much.
Out of the corner of my eye I see Alex jump for no apparent reason.
-You okay?- I send privately, worried.
-Y-yeah, Me and Jordan are chatting privately.- They send cautiously, glancing back and forth between Jordan and I.
Suddenly, there is a soft knock on the door, causing us all to jump.
-Everyone hide! Go go go!!!- Jordan sends in a very panicked tone.
I dart under a desk, shifting into a mouse and crawling inside of the computer above me.
I watch in horror as the door knob turns, but as the person attempts to open the door, it is blocked by Jordan's carefully placed desks.
"I know you are all in there. I am a friend, please come out." The person says quietly, still trying to force their way inside.
"Yeah, fuck you too." I hiss under my breath, still attempting to not hyperventilate.
That's when Alex falls from their hiding place, right into view of the person at the door.
