"So, what happened next?" Aeliana asks, leaning back in her armchair more comfortably.
"Ha, let's leave that for tomorrow." Toby says with a smirk.
I let out a small giggle at his asshattery.
"That's not nice, tell her more." I say, still laughing.
"Everybody loves a good cliffhanger. And a bit of good comedic timing. That was great Alex, you klutz." Toby bursts out laughing, along with Kat, whose face looks like a ripe tomato.
"Oh, shut up you two!" I say, blushing profusely. I smack Toby on the arm, but he continues laughing.
I sit back, totally embarrassed. Aeliana rolls her eyes at their childish behavior.
"Anyone hungry?" She asks, getting up from her chair. "I could order something for dinner, I realize that it's getting late."
"Yes please!" I say, and my mouth waters at the thought of good food.
"What would you all like?" Aeliana asks, grabbing a glass tablet from the counter. "Here are some options." She hands Jordan and I the tablet, and sits back down, now on her phone. I glance up at the other two. They had stopped laughing and were now engaged in a private send with each other.
I look down at the menu and realize just how many choices there are.
"What might you suggest?" I ask Aeliana, gesturing to the tablet.
"Hm. How about I surprise you guys? I understand that the four of you aren't very well versed in local food." She gets up and Jordan hands her the tablet. Aeliana taps the tablet a few times, then looking satisfied, she sets it down on the counter.
" I need to go check on Lavender, don't break anything you four." Aeliana says, giving Toby and Kat a personal look. "I'll see you all in a little while. Bedrooms are upstairs, and on the hallway on the left. You can each choose your own room. There's a bag for each of you waiting in the upstairs living room. You have a half hour, go explore." With that, Aeliana walks down the stairs, leaving the four of us alone again.
"I'm gifting her the new name of dad." Kat says, getting up and stretching. "Aeliana is a dad."
"No, she's a mom." Toby argues with a laugh. "Worries to much, uses 'the look', and always has her arms crossed. She's a mom."
"Nuh-uh she's a dad, she's not feminine at all, she has the dad puns, and trusts the four of us too much, but still probably has a good reason."
"Those are all mom traits!" Toby exclaims, rolling his eyes.
"Hey, hey, lower your voices, calm down." Jordan cuts in before either of them can get a word in.
"How about we just call her momdad?" I ask jokingly, but lose my smile the second I see a lightbulb go off above both of their heads.
"Momdad it is." Kat decides, grinning.
"Agreed in full." Toby says, also grinning.
"I'm leaving before I suggest something else idiotic." I grumble, trudging up the stairs. I'm about to reach the top when the others catch up with me.
"Dude, chill." Toby says, rolling his eyes. "We're the idiots, not you."
I laugh. "Whatever you say."
The four of us walk down the hallway, passing the four bedrooms and hangout in the living room for a while, admiring the gorgeous view of the city and the new clothing and gadgets Aeliana and Lavender had given each of us. After a while, the cute couple finally joins us.
"So, are you all enjoying your time here?" Lavender asks sweetly, sitting down and smoothing out her skirt.
"Yup!" The four of us say in unison, all grinning happily.
"So, will you finally continue your story? I caught Lavender up on your tale." Aeliana requests, a pleading look on her face.
"Sure, why not," Toby and Kat share an evil grin, "momdad."
I face palm, only able to think about how to explain this whole thing to Aeliana.
"I'll take the name, hurry up with the story." Aeliana says with a laugh, rolling her eyes.
"Okay, so we pick the story back up with Alex falling flat on their ass-"
"I did not!"
"Whatever, well just have to start with Alex falling like an idiot instead..."
