Chapter 6
"Hey Ems, wake up." I hear a voice whisper. "5 more minutes." I mumbled turning away to whoever was shaking me lightly. "Hey just listen" another voice whispered.
I sighed and opened my eyes, well tried to at least. "Me and the others are going to school now. Your mother called the school and you're allowed to stay at home for the whole week. A bodyguard is downstairs, just in case you want to go somewhere. Take the medicine that's on your bedside table as soon as you finished your breakfast, okay?" Chase whispered while tucking me back into the bed.
I nodded not really understanding anything. "I'm coming home a little sooner Ems. See ya later" Kimberly also whispered. "Don't forget to rub your ribs with the ointment that I gave you, yeah." Alec said before everyone went out the room.
Finally. I can sleep peacefully now.
.
.
.I woke up by the ringing of my phone. My first thought was that Chase is either calling me or Kim, so as I looked at the ID and find it as an unknown number I kind of freaked out a little.
I was debating on to leave it or to answer it. Curiosity got the better of me and of course I picked up. "Hello?"
"Oh hi. Am I speaking to Savanah?" A familiar feminin voice asked.
"Uhm yeah who's this?" I asked confused as sleep was still lacing through my voice.
"Oh I'm sorry I must have woken you up. It's me Cameron just wanted to ask if you're free today to show me around?" She giggled.
"Oh Cameron from the coffee shop. Yeah of course. What time do you want to go?" I asked as I slowly sat up, trying not to hurt my ribs.
"In about an hour, if that's okay? I just got off college and I haven't had breakfast yet, I was thinking if we could grab some brunch?"
"That's be perfect. We can meet each other in the Rose Mary Restaurant. I heard they have the best brunch food there."
"Perfect. See you there bye." And she hung up. I locked my phone and realised it was already 11 am. Remembering my conversation with my three roommates earlier made my heart beat normal again.
I totally forgot I had school but luckily my mom told the school that I'd be staying at home for the rest of the week and it's only Wednesday.
I slowly stood up from my bed and packed my medicine into my black coach mini bag pack and decided to take a shower.
After taking a shower I just put on a basic champion shirt with black skinny jeans to match it. I dried my hair with my hairdryer and just put on some mascara and I was good to go.
As I looked at my phone it's only been twenty minutes since Cameron called and it only takes about 10 minutes to get to the restaurant so I decided to get myself some chocolate milk.
As I walked downstairs I notice someone watching TV. Surely no one is home besides of me so I did panic more than I should have.
"Who are you and what are you doing in my apartment?" I yelled as I halted on top of the stairs.
He quickly stood up and said "I'm your bodyguard for today ma'am. I'm sorry to startle you, Chase told me to watch TV until you need me." He scratched the back of his neck nervously.
Now I feel bad. "Oh sorry, It might have slipped my mind when Chase mentioned you. You can continue watching and just call me Savanah." I smiled at him and walked down into the kitchen while he kept on watching TV.
"Do you want some chocolate milk?" I screamed from the kitchen. "Uhm if you don't mind." He answered.
I took two glasses and poured chocolate milk in it and walked back to where he was watching TV. "What's your name by the way?" I asked as I handed him a glass.
