Chapter 2

''God fucking damn it. Why does it always happen to me?'' I whispered harshly to myself as I realized that I actually took a 15-minute nap under the tree in lunch break. Now I'm almost 10 minutes late.

To top it all I still have to go and get my books from the opposite side of the building. Fuck my life.

As I started running for dear life I didn't notice the wall in front of me and head butted right into it. Fuck me again, why do I always get clumsier when I am in a rush. I stood up as fast as I could and started running again. It didn't take long until I fell on my butt again. ''GOD FUCKING DAMN IT.WHO PUTS WALLS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HALLWAY'' I screamed already getting worked up because of my incidence with the wall earlier and on top of that being late in German again.

I rubbed my forehead while taking deep breaths to calm myself down when a voice suddenly spoke up. ''You should watch where you are going'' the person muttered. I opened my eyes as fast as I could and looked up to find the most gorgeous boy I have ever seen but sadly he was wearing a frown that pretty much indicates that he was not happy with me bumping into him.

Realization hit me, he must be one of the new boys. ''I think I know where to go Gray-'' another person from around the corner came walking in and stopped talking when he saw me. My eyes widened as I realized that they were identical twins and when I say Identical then I actually mean identical.

The only way I can tell them apart is by their hair. The wall-boy I bumped into had short hair which was styled into a quiff, while the other one has long hair with a strand of purple hair and was just sitting on his forehead.

I was brought back to reality when I finally realized how rude wall-boy actually was to me. I mean I can't exactly be the only one at fault here, right?

''Watch where I am going? You could have easily avoided bumping into me since I was already running and I am pretty sure you saw me before bumping into you.''

He frowned at my answer and looked at his twin before he slowly turned his head back to me. ''Can't you just apologize instead of bickering?'' he greeted his teeth, obviously, he was irritated.

I scoffed. ''Just because I didn't see you standing there doesn't mean I am in fault. So why should I apologize? Especially to someone as rude as you?'' I said before walking around him and heading to my locker, which was just behind him.

But before I could reach my locker I was pulled back by a muscular arm and came face to face with wall-boy again. ''You don't know who I am, do you?'' he whispered in my ear, which gave me goosebumps all over my body.

''I am glad that I don't and I wish to keep it that way, so if you'll excuse me.'' I whispered back and pulled my arm away from him and sprinted to my locker. I took my German book out of my locker and was about to sprint to my classroom when another voice stopped me.

''Wait! You have German now? You must be in our class. Will you show us the room?'' the other twin asked. I was about to answer no, but if I do enter with them I at least have an excuse to why I am late.

''Yeah sure whatever, just hurry up.'' I said walking ahead in a fast speed. They don't seem to struggle to keep up with my speed since they are actually a foot taller than me. I know I am small. Just right about 5'1.

I stood in front of the room and knocked twice before entering. The room got quiet and the teacher sighed. ''What's your excuse now?'' ''I showed the new students the room, I didn't realize that it took so long sorry'' I smiled knowing that he was actually just kidding. I looked around the room and found Chases relieved face, he was probably thinking that something happened to me. As I walked my way to my seat I gave Kim a quick glance before sitting down at the back of the class.

''Hi I'm Ethan Dolan and this is my twin brother Grayson Dolan'' purple-strand said. I guess I zoned out for a little bit. The girls were adjusting their shirts to have a more visible cleavage and batting their lashes to make them look more innocent. I rolled my eyes at how pathetic and thirsty teenage girls can be.

I guess wall-boy's name is Grayson, which actually suits him well with his intimidating glances, his brunette hair, and his dark mysterious eyes.

Now you probably are thinking 'Why would you rush into German, when your teacher is a fun one?' Though I may talk in German, since Germany's native language is German, obviously, I do enjoy the activities the teacher makes us do. But honestly I enjoy it the most when my teacher says something in German, which is completely wrong since they don't know that I actually speak German, I can't correct him.

As soon as the teacher started writing on the board I felt eyes watching me and of course, my eyes landed to Grayson, who's looking at me with a scowl on his face. I quickly looked straight back to the teacher, not because I got intimidated but because of how I snorted because of my laugh that I was trying to hold back. Luckily no one noticed that I was trying hard not to giggle.

He has probably never been disobeyed before by the way he acted when I didn't apologize to him, so I assume he is mad because of that, which makes it 100% funnier. All jokes aside though, it did make me wanna pee my pants when he looked at me.

''You got me worried sick, nothing bad happened to you right?'' Chase asked me as we were walking out of the classroom. ''Besides the fact that I actually ran into a wall, I am perfectly fine'' I smiled and giggled. Chase laughter filled my ears, which made me laugh too. Our laughing fit was cut short by a shoulder bumping into me, which made me stumble backwards.

Chase caught my shoulders before I could fall butt first onto the ground. ''Ey watch where you are going'' Chase angrily said after asking me if I was okay. Everyone got quiet, the person slowly turned around and I gasped at how murderous Grayson looked. ''You should tell your little girlfriend to watch out.'' Grayson calmly said and walked away with his twin brother, as soon as they were walking away everybody minded their own business.

Chase looked at me with questioning eyes. I sighed and answered ''I accidentally bumped into him, he wanted me to apologize but I didn't because it wasn't my fault.''

Chase shook his head slowly while a smile was forming on his lips. ''Clumsy as always, any way you are allowed to skip P.E., I can already tell that you have a headache. I will drive you home and come back.''

''No need I can take the car and you just fetch a ride with Kim—I mean Loren and Alec.'' I nervously said, while hoping that no one caught me saying Kim's real name.

''I can't just let you go home alone Sav.'' Chase explained while sighing. I know he wanted to bring me home but didn't want to miss football practice as well. Me being an awesome friend called my father.

''Hi Papa.''

''Oh my Emerald. I miss you. How are you guys holding up there? Chase been looking out for you?''

''Chase has been amazing so far and he keeps me safe all the time, but I wanted to ask you for a favor.'' I nervously laughed. Ever since the kidnap, my dad didn't let me go anywhere without any bodyguards and let me tell ya. When I say everywhere, I mean everywhere and let me tell you I was never alone when I was peeing until I moved to California.

''Anything for you. Do you need money?'' my father chuckled.

''No Papa. I bumped into a wall earlier and my headache doesn't really wanna fade away, but to get home I'd have to ask Chase to drive me home. So the favor is if it's okay for you that I drive myself back home since I don't want Chase to miss football practice.'' He will probably say no anyway, why am I even trying?

''No absolutely not. You know how dangerous it can be—'' he started as his voice got louder the longer he spoke.

''Papa, you need to understand. If you don't let me go home by myself, the kids in school will notice something. All they think is that I don't socialize much if they notice that Chase is bringing me home every time I don't feel good instead of being in football practice, people will suspect things.'' I desperately tried to explain.

A long pause occurred until I finally hear my father sigh and say the most unexpected sentence I've ever heard coming out of his mouth..
