Chapter 6- Searching

Lucas-

Its been 2 whole days and we still can't find Leah. Riley is depressed and so is Reighn. But I wasn't about to fall behind in work.

Most of the packs hadn't seen or heard anything. So we have to do a lot of searching. But who would want her?

Who?

That question has been in mind for a long time now. I try to look into my past. I shouldn't have any enemies but rouges. Maybe it's ​Riley's past. I pushed aside my paperwork. I picked up the map. Then checked over all the marked areas. Those were the places we searched. My eyes scanned over it multiple times. We still yet to discover 8 of them. I circled Crimson Blood. Then I realized the Alpha and I don't get along. So I guess I do have enemies.

I brushed my hands through my hair. I really need some sleep. I'll just take an hour nap. Slowly walked out and into the bedroom. Riley laid in bed looking miserable as ever.

What am I doing? I asked myself.

Look at my mate...and my pup.

I cupped her cheek. "We are going to find Lee, and that's a promise."

She looked at me with hope. " Please don't lie to me..."

"What?! Why would I do that? I would never lie to you. Do you not believe in me?"

"No. Wait! Yes, I mean." She sighs," I just want my baby."

" I want her back as much as we all do. Just be patient."

Reighn-

I sat in my room and stared at the wall. It stared back at me. I've been doing this ever since..since.

I really miss Leah. She would be talking to me about how she wanted to be an adult and do things.

Leah-

"AAAAAHHHHHH!" I screamed.

That only made it worse. Every time I scream Caleb would make the pain worse. I try to control myself but the pain is unbearable.

Caleb chuckled."I told you to not to scream" He said in a mocking voice.

The machine squeezed my little body. I flinched in pain. I want to die.

Caleb shook his head. " No, no, no.. Your going to need the stick."

He walked over to his desk. He held down a button on the phone.

"Olivia can you bring me the stick?" He asked.

He waited.

"No can do sir. Peyton said to report to her office. She needs to talk to you.." Olivia's voice came through the phone. He sighed.

"I shall be back."

He left silently. I was alone in the room. I looked around the room. It wasn't easy I couldn't turn my body. Just my head and neck.

I have been in here long enough to know some things. I mean like how to stay put, but not today...

On the desk I see the remote Caleb used to hurt me. The helmet thingie on my head is the only thing that can actually come off easily. I move my head a little but just enough to move the helmet.

An idea popped in my head. If I was to somehow get helmet onto the remote and clicked the release button, I would be able to get out. So that is what I shall do. I jerked my head forward and the helmet flew in front of me. It was not going to reach. My heart raced. If it was too loud someone would come in to investigate.

I put out my feet and caught the helmet.

"Phew" I say trying to catch my breath.

I swing my feet up and catch it. It was hard because my hand are chained. It almost didn't reached. This is probably my last chance.

"I still don't know why Peyton wanted the girl." Someone said.

"Yeah I don't know either."

The voices were getting closer but slowly." Yep this is my last chance" I mumbled to myself.

Again I jerked my head causing the helmet to fly in the air.

Click!

"Yes!"

My hands were released. I slid to the ground with a thump. I searched the room for any possible exits. The only option was the door everyone used. I can do this...

" Alright do you think we should check on her?" A voice ask.

The two unknown talkers we right outside the door. I know what I had to do.

Run.

"Yeah hopefully she isn't dead." Someone joked.

The doorknob twisted. Then the door opened. They were looking at each other to notice.

Now. A voice said in my head. I took off as fast as I could. My legs moving faster then I thought they could. I felt free.
