I roll over, as the morning sun seeps in through the window.I look on the bed and see David sleeping soundly,I get up quietly and walk out the house, stopping the door from slamming,i walk into the forest "we 100% sure about showing him?"i question Tallaugh. Standing against a tree
"Definitely" Tallaugh smiles, I nod closing my eyes tightly as my ears fill with crakes and pops.I open my eyes when it stops and I have four legs again "much better" we agree . trotting to the house and rearing in front of it whining loadly.

David comes running out the house "amber!!"he grins standing in front of me. I back up slowly "im sorry about the other day Amber, mum wants me to find a mate soon but i think ur my mate but i cant love u if ur just a horse...ahh don't get me wrong ur pretty and all..."he sighs putting his hand on his forhead. I smile walking up to him and taking hold of his shirt with my teeth and pulling him towards the forest,"where we going?"he askes tilting his head. I stop in the middle of a clearing "ready?"i ask tallaugh as i close my eyes and everything crakes and pops,i open my eyes and see Davids eyes wide open with his jaw dropped. I rub my arm looking at the floor scuffing it with my foot "your Beth? Your a shifter too" he stares looking up and down me.i nod.

A couple of minutes go by in silence "urm u going to say anything?" I ask
"Oh....sorry your my mate"he smiles walking towards me and taking my small hands in his big soft hands. I smile feeling the feeling run down my spin " you are my mate" i smile staring into his brown eyes as he stared back.we slowly walked back to the house "mum!come meet Beth my mate" he grins walking into the house. A tall lady came in with her hair in a bun "nice to meet you" she said sharply before leaving.
"I didnt say anything...."i whisper to Tallaugh
"Don't ask me" she sniggered. I looked round the house taking in every little thing like the crake by the fire place as the flames flickered" the others will be back from the stables later"david smiles passing me a cup of tea i took a sip slowly feeling the warmth go through me. The door bursts open as tall men walked in talking over eachother.they stopped when they say me and looking over at David"meet my mate beth also Amber"he smiles introducing me to them, they all stare and they walk up the stairs to their rooms "that went swell"i murmur under my breath " no sugar" Tallaugh replies, i look into the cup at the tea,i put it on the table
"I need air" i say walking out the house and towards the stables, i hear foot steps following behind, i walk faster going inside and looking over every door checking the horses.

I walk to a stall that was black inside, i see a glowing eye in the back "hey....why you in the dark?" I coo leaning over the door "he tryed to kill one of the herd members " david replies i nod reaching my hand in watching the shape move closer, it came into the light he was a handsome black stallion standing tall in the stall "wow..."i breath as he sniffed my fingers "whats his name?" I ask watching him explore my hand
"Don't know no one liked him, hey you give him one" david smiles. I look at him
"Thunder" i grin.

I feed thunder and wonder back to the house with david by my side, i walk into the bedroom and start getting changed, the door closes i turn round to see David looking my bare skin up and down "david!!"i yell covering myself with a blanket "sorry you started changing before i could turn round..."he murmured going red, i giggle putting pjs on and slipping into the bed and curling up, David slips in and whispers"sleep well beth my dear mate" i grin falling asleep in his warm arms.
