Chapter 7

I sat with my head in my hands, thinking of what to do now. The hotel room was small and peaceful, I got up and checked out with my bag on my back, I walking slowly down the icy path to the house.

I walked to the door taking a deep breath before pushing it open to see David standing against a wall with a girl! and they were kissing! I stared at him before running to the barn with tears streaming down my cheeks I went into Thunders stall and collapsed in the darker corner rocking slowly why? I looked at Thunder through blurred eyes, Thunder lay next to me and rested his pretty head on my lap, I smiled softly and ran my fingers through his mane, Tammy walked past "Beth you in here? I saw your bag but not you" she called

"in here" I answered her softly she looked over the door, I looked up with tears in my eyes "he doesn't love me...he's kissing that girl" I cried, Tammy's jaw dropped and she stormed off. I waited a bit and heard tammy screaming at David, but it sounded like he was too busy with that...girl. I looked at Thunder shall we go? he stood up and I heaved myself onto his smooth back and we trotted off as we went pass the house I stopped "I'm sorry Tammy I can't take it anymore! David good luck with that slut!" I yelled before riding off as fast as Thunder could go.

We stopped and hour or two after racing across the land I slide off his back and let him rest I sat on a stone looking at the reflection in the lake my face was hidden by my hair, I pulled a knife out of my boot and put my hair together and pulled the blade through my hair and it dropped to the floor, I looked over to Thunder much better hmm? I smile softly putting the knife back into my boot. Tallaugh had returned to talking to me but this time she sounded more in pain I asked her why one night at the lake she replied with "He loves that slut more than us...how? why?" I couldn't answer her cause I didn't know myself either.

I sat on a stone playing with the gems on my bracelet, as Thunder sleeps happily. the moon was full and made the lake sparkly the snow was lining the edges of it unable to touch it with out becoming apart of the lake. I looked into the wood lining and saw eyes! I stood up quickly watching them come out as wolves! I watched carefully not daring to make  a move till I felt pain in my heart and I fell to the floor screaming out as Tallaugh cries "our mate! he's having sex with her!"  my eyes move to Thunder who was on his feet nudging me, I staggered to my feet and heaved badly onto his back I looked to the wolves. I saw one as a man in jeans looking at me "this is woods pack territory your trespassing!" he boomed, he must be the alpha I looked at him with pain in my eyes from my betrayal of my mate the one I loved so much with a slut. "help me..." I cried out in pain and the alpha walked slowly towards me and Thunder, who's ears were pined back to his head "its ok boy he might help us.." I patted him softly, he whinnied and walked up to the alpha.

the alpha walked back to the pack and to the house, they all lived in. my pain had gotten worse from my heart breaking, the alpha had ordered me too go to the  ward and get help with the pain.

days went past and I was feeling better, the alpha would keep checking on me when I was In the living room reading, I still hadn't got his name but at least Thunder was fine in his stall with his new friends .

I was watching the rain and thunder from my rooms window it looked pretty my door opened and shut as the alpha walked in, I looked at him from my shoulder "so what is ur name then?" I asked,  he smiled and walked over a my  bed and sat on it " my names John, what's yours horse?" he replied, I looked at the window and thought for a while and then said" my name is Beth" I muttered rubbing my bare arm, he smiled and took my hand "nice to meet..."he stopped, I pulled my arm away feeling that familiar shiver down my back "mate...?" John said confused I shook my head "I cant be I left my mate"

Tallaugh stared "second mate! they said it was possible" 

I stared out the window after that and John watched me, trying to figure things out. I fell asleep after that.
