Chapter 11

I walk round the territory with a few wolves following checking things out, it had been a month since John had eaten that meat and still hadn't woken up.I had to take over the pack its harder than it looks. Meetings,fights with rogues which are increasing a lot and training exercises. I dont get how John does it all.

I stop sniffing the air, it was that horrible rubbish smell, I shift into my wolf and stand firm with Paint next to me and Beta Tod on the other side. I growl low scanning the trees for the rogues, I hear a growl from in front of me I glare to where it comes from. I shift to my human form putting a short black dress as Paint and Tod stay in wolf form with the others behind them growling low.

"Come out from behind there!" I growl in my Luna voice, there was no response.

"Come out or we will attack! "I say watching as a paw moves from out behind the tree its black as night, I quickly shift back to my wolf and move forward slowly the rogue wolf stands tall infront of me with his cold black eyes staring at me, I growl loudly as we run at each other.

His teeth sink into my shoulder, I yelp out before spinning round and biting his back hard I quickly drop off his back and circle round him, as he shakes off the pain and lounches at me, I jump back but not quick enough as his fangs sink into my side, Tallaugh takes control my eyes change to amber red, the rogue stops and stares,big mistake! I lounch for his throat and clamp onto him as he falls to the floor shaking his whole black body,I hold onto his neck till his body stops shaking and he goes cold. I unclap my teeth from his neck standing back looking at the blood spill onto the glass, me teeth tingle from all the pressure on the bites I walk over to Paint and smile before heading back to the house limping slightly but I did me best to hide it we don't need both alphas in the ward.

I shift before I get in the house, I was coated in a blanket of blood both mine and the rogues, I put my dress on and grab some food before going upstairs and shutting the bathroom door, turning the water on, I take my dress off and step under the soothing warm water.

Johns POV

I open my eyes feeling a little groggy I look round finding myself in a white room, but no Beth, I sink into the pillows "shes probably looking after the pack whilst your here"Tody says softly in my head "I've healed you up but dont eat that meat again" I lift my head to sound of the meat "god I mixed it up with the trap meat, I got to get that sorted before it happens again" I sit up feeling dizzy, "Doc! I'm up!let me out!"I call out putting my top on as he walks in.

"Not till I say so Luna said so you are only aloud to leave when you are completely healed" he says bowing his head before walking over and checking me over "Where is Luna?" I ask watching him.

 He looks up "I believe shes in the pack house sorting some stuff out with Paint" I nod standing up "may I leave?" he looks at his notes and nods.

"I dont see why not, but be careful"I nod putting my shorts on and walking over to the pack house, I open the door looking round at the room its very quiet I walk round seeing everyone watching a movie in the living room "where's Luna?" I ask making them all jump, they all point to the office down the hall, I nod walking down the hall and knocking on the oak door, theres shuffling and movement before a word was spoke " come in" Beth says tiredly.I push the door open to see her kneeling on the chair scribbling notes on paper "what can I do for you?I'm very busy" she says looking down, I slowly turn her chair but she stops me and turns back without looking up from the paper, I sigh "Beth?"I touch her shoulder, she jumps standing up her eyes are deep amber she growls low, she stares for a minute before seeing its me and they turn back to their ocean blue colour.

she drops her pen and stares at me"John?" I nod slowly smiling, she runs over and hugs me tightly.I feel the sparks go through me, I feel her pull away and go back to the chair picking the pen up and going back to scribbling, I walk to our room and sit on the bed trying to know whats wrong with her, then Toby comes forward in my mind"Tallaugh said shes in pain shes been fighting rogues off and got injured in a fight today, she sore and doesnt want to be touched so shes working away whailst she heals but its taking longer than it should" he says sounding pained, I nod laying down "I just want my mate for cuddles and make sure shes ok." I hear the door click as she walks in and picks a jumpsuite up and changes "hi"I smile softly "she huffes walking over and slaps me hard across the cheek "what was that for!" I growl holding my sore cheek.

"you eat that meat it has a strong smell or you nose blind!? but I moved it so it wont kill anyone or the cubs!"she growls back as her eyes turn amber as tallaugh takes control, "oh shit"I mutter under my breath looking at her"can I have Beth back please"I ask calmly, after awhile she gives control back to Beth,still folding her arms across her chest, I get up and wrap my arms round her as she trys to back away from it but after awhile she gives up and burys her face into my chest slowly wrapping an arm round me.

She sits on the bed figgling with the bangages that wrapped round her shoulder and side, I took her hands shaking my head, she nods laying on my lap looking at me.

Beth POV

I looked up at Johns eyes they were happy and gleaming my shoulder and side stung a  little but its not to bad anymore.

I sit up going downstairs to see Lucy running in with a towel with something in it "Lucy whats wrong?" she stops and puts the towel on the table reveling a little fawn with puncher wounds I gasp "who did this?" looking at Lucy who was crying and points to Jack and Arron who step in behind Lucy.

I look at them with sharp eyes"you did this!" I growl, they wimper looking down nodding slowly "sit outside and dont more till I come!" I command, they nod and stand outside, I look at the fawn pulling out the medic kit and lay the fawn on the table slowly cleaning the blood off to see the wounds, I slowly close them up trying hard not to hurt it more once finished I wrap her up and put her in a little cage in the office with water and food before kneeling infront of Lucy "let her sleep"I smile softly before going outside and slamming the door behind me "what the hell do you think you were doing going after a baby?!"I yell standing infront of the guys

Jack looks up "we were hungry and it was alone.luna"

"oh so the food in the fridge isnt good for you?! so you go after  a defenceless animal!" I growl loader, they flinch "sorry Luna,it wont happen again"they say.

"better not or next time it happens I'll let my wolf out and you can see how that goes!" I walk back into the house and into the bedroom falling asleep as soon as I hit the pillow. Who knew being in charge was so tiring and John does it with ease Tallaugh comes forward "can we be in wolf form? you might sleep better" she asks, I just nod it was too hard to speak, my bones crake and pop as I become wolf, I look at myself smiling before curling up in a furry ball falling asleep. feeling my fur press against me as John curled up next to me in wolf form resting his big brown head on my back closing his eyes.
