Chapter 6 Bad Day

Just then I heard a clap of thunder.

Really?

The rain begins pourinng down, drenching my whole body and smudging the mascara I had put on this morning. Why, why WHY did I not put on waterproof mascara? Eugh! I trudge the through the mud, forgetting about the plop-splattered t-shirt.

My white tank top is becoming see -through with the rain, and you can see the black crop-top I'm wearing underneath. Luckily you cannot see my bra, because its covered with the belly-showing top. Oh crap, if Zach sees me I'm dead meat!

I pace up my speed from a walk to a run, hoping to get home before supper or face getting grounded. The lightning is now beginning, and darkness I beyond the horizon. The only way I will get back in time for dinner is in wolf form. I guess if I take the forest way it will work.

I take a turn left, and after running a few miles further I reach the forest. The great thing about being a wolf is we have an endless stamina, we can run for hours at full speed (in human and wolf form) without losing our breathe.

I reach the forest and turn quickly, before running through the forest at warp speed. I pass a few campers in a flash, leaving them in a daze. I reach my house about 15 minutes later, and by the looks of things, Supper is over.

Well I'm busted.

I switch over to human, then walk inside, still drenched.

'Mum? Dad? I'm home!' I call, closing the front door.

'There you are! I was worried sick!' Zach appears in front of me. I wince at the harsh tone in his voice, dreading what was coming.

'I was busy' I say blankly.

'Doing what?'

'I was getting ice cream'.

'In this weather?You liar'.

'It was before it started raining'

'Then how come you got home so early?'

'I ran'

'In this weather? Winter, your story doesn't add up' He growls.

Neither does this relationship.

No! Winter, you LOVE him. You know you do.

'Well its true. What does it matter to you anyway?' I retort.

'It means alot. You could be out with other guys for all I know' Zach snaps.

'So what if I was? You don't own me' I hiss, storming off to my room. I slam the door and lock it, to make sure Zach can't come in. He won't knock it down, because in between the wood is steel and metal. Its concealed by the mahogany oakwood.

I sit on my bed, drowning in thoughts.

I guess me and Zach are having another rough patch again, we had one last year after he kept flirting with other girls. It really upset me, yet know he has the gut to accuse ME of cheating on him?

Talk about hypocrites.
