Winter's POV

Having heard a huge crash and then an 'OUCH!', I quickly shift back and open my bedroom door. My mothers hand is raised, and Zachs nose is pouring with blood.

'Mom!' I yell. How could she?

'Let me explain, Zach here is a jer-' My mum began.

'Don't even speak to me. The both of you!' I yell, storming downstairs. Our house is pretty big, so I have alot of places to go. I choose the pool outback and gab a magazine, before dashing out and curling up on a sun lounger.

I flick through the magazine for about 30 minutes, re-reading everything I already knew. This magazine was so old. They were speaking out The Spice Girls for gods sake. I flick to the back and read the date.

13th January 2000. Oh wow. My mum had a whole archive of magazines, I guess I picked up an oldie.

I continued reading the magazine, before placing it down after another 10 minutes.

I stare up at the sky for a few minutes. The rainclouds have passed, and a rainbow is filling the sky. I let out a sigh, unsure of whether its a fed up sigh, a happy one or an annoyed one. Either way, I'm a mess. My life is a mess. I'm dating a guy who is an absoloute jerk, my family are the most annoying people in the world, AND I'M A WEREWOLF.

I need to sort out my life. I should start by sorting things out with Zach.

~~~
'Zach? Can I speak to you?' I call.
'Winnie, your mum drove Zach home about 20 minutes ago' Ro laughs from behind me. I turn round to see my best friend.
'Oh too bad. I'll speak to him tomorrow at school'
~~~~~

The next day, before first period, I wandered to Zach's locker in hope of finding him. Even when the bell for class I went, I stayed there. He arrived at 9am, with a bandage over his red nose. I let out a small squeak as he gets closed towards me.

'Hey Zach' I wince.

'Hi Winter'

'Uhm, are you okay? We really need to talk' I sigh.

'I know. We have to sort everything out. De-clutter our relationship' Zach agrees.

'Lets start by talking about your overprotectiveness'

'Its because I'm your mate, its within my nature'

'Zach, you ARE NOT my mate!Atleast not yet! Grow up and except that!' I yell in response to his petty comment.

'Forgot it. You can walk home tonight' He growls, before walking away.

So be it.
