A Love Story

Chapter 18

Shayne's View:

I can't believe she is gone...I guess i need to forget her for now. But how? So i spent the whole day crying in bed. I didn't eat or sleep or talk...I just wanted Courtney. Why did she leave? Why didn't she take me with her...Does she just want to run away from me and from our relationship or does she have somebody else in her life now? Those were the questions in my head. I thought about everything. I still didn't understand and it seems she wanted to run away. I got up the next morning and packed my bags. 

We got back to LA and i went home, sat on the couch and installed tinder on my phone again. After a while i got a match and the girl seemed okay. Her name was Dana. She had brown, straight hair and blue eyes. She was pretty, but not like Courtney. I decided to ask her out and she said yes. We are going out in the afternoon. I had a shower and chose an outfit to wear. As i was searching through my bag i found a hair tie and it was Courtney's, because there was a cat on it and she always wears it when she has her hair tied high in a messy bun. I placed the hair tie on my night table and went out to meet Dana. I drove to the address she gave me and there she was. Standing in front of her house in a nice dress. Yeah, she was pretty. I though going out with somebody else would make me feel better, but it didn't, because when she hugged me all i could think about was Courtney.

Courtney's View:

We went to New York. It is awesome and so pretty. But all i could think about was Shayne. I couldn't...I didn't sleep all night and  i just couldn't be without him. So the next day ii went to my sister's house and helped her move in.

Courtney: Hey, sis?
Kari: Yeah?
Courtney: I can't stay.
Kari: Why?
Courtney: You know Shayne right or? We are going out for a month now...I love him we have had a crush on each other since we met at Smosh. I just can't do it without him. I want to leave tomorrow.
Kari: Awww, somebody is in love huh? It's okay sis...I really needed your help with the moving in, but now it's done so yeah. I thought you will like New York, so this is why i wanted you to stay so long. I can do it myself and Olivia...Thanks!
Olivia: Yeah i was going to tell you...
Kari: Courtney told me when you and Noah started going out Liv...it's okay really. Now go to your lovers.

We had dinner together and then we said goodbye and left. We packed our bags and got the first plane to LA. It was a long flight and we both slept a lot. When we landed I got a cab after saying bye to Liv and went to my house. I dropped my things off and got in my car. I went to Shayne's house. I was so excited to see him again. It was 4 pm and i was really tired, but i didn't care at all. I knocked on the door, but he wasn't at home, so i thought he is going to be at the Starbucks we always went to. I got there and i looked trough the huge window. He was there, sitting...with another girl...they kissed...The smile on my face dropped. A tear fell down on my cheek. He had already found somebody. So i guess i wasn't so special for him after all. I went to his house and left him a note saying:

  Hey, Shayney...
I'm back. :)

Courtney

I got back home and called Olivia. She was with Noah.

Olivia: Hey, girl!
Courtney: Hey...- i said crying.
Olivia: What is wrong? Courtney?
I told her everything.
Olivia: Oh my God! This asshole...who does he think he is?
Courtney: I told him when i left...what i told him was: "You need to forget me at least untill i come back." I told him it's okay if he goes out with somebody else and said i will be back again. I guess i didn't expect him to do it, but............i can't be angry at him.
Olivia: Oh, Courtney....
Courtney: I'm gonna go now...Bye Liv.

I ended the call and fell on the ground. I cried. I can't be mad a him. I guess we are gonna be just friends. Huh...

Shayne's View:

The date went well. I looked at her and she kissed me. I kissed back, huh, but something was not right...She isn't Courtney. I had a pretty girl kissing me now, but i wasn't happy at all. So i ended the kiss and said:

Shayne: It's getting late i think you should go home, Dana.
Dana: Yeah, but it was amazing, so call me again?
Shayne: Yeah...- i wasn't going to call her.

I got home and saw a note in front of my door it said:

Hey, Shayney...
I'm back. :)

Courtney

A smile returned on my face as i read it and i was so happy. She was back. Then i remembered what happened today and i was crushed. I have to tell her now. But how? "Shayne you are such a prick, you idiot. You cheated on the first day. You don't deserve her. She got back just for you and you did this." I got inside and placed the note next to her hair tie and layed on my bed. I cried. I shouldn't have been so stupid. Now she is never going to be mine again. I guess, i don't have the right to have a girlfriend like her. I don't deserve her...Why did i do this? I fell asleep waiting for the next day.
