Chapter 19

Courtney's View:

I woke up to the sound of my alarm and rubbed my eyes. I was about to look next to me and say "Good morning Shayney!" When i realized he is not there next to me on my bed...then i remembered what happened yesterday and tears started falling from my eyes again. I walked to the kitchen and had some cereal. I wasn't in the mood for makeup or anything, so i just put a little foundation and mascara on. I got dressed and i just headed out and got in the car. I drove to work, crying. When i got there everybody was still at home, so i guess i was early. I went to my office and just sat in the corner crying...

Shayne's View:

I got up and i immediately thought about Courtney. I put some clothes on and had breakfast. I rushed outside to my car and drove off to work. I went to work and i rushed to Courtney's office hoping she is there, because i was early and nobody was here yet. I knocked on the door and i heard a voice say really quiet and obviously crying:

Courtney: Yeah?
Shayne: Can i come in?
Courtney: Yeah. Who is it, huh?

I opened the door and froze just standing. She was sitting in the corner with her head in her hands and crying.

Shayne: Courtney...?- she looked at me and her eyes widened.
Courtney: Shayne!- she said smiling a bit and wiping her tears away.

I could tell she has been crying for a long time now. My heart was racing i was devastated to see her like this. She had tear trail on her face and she had such a sad expression on her face and her eyes were looking in mine just so...

Shayne: Courtney, wha..at has happened to you, oh...why are you crying?
Courtney: It's nothing...-she looked down.
Shayne: I know you...something is going on...-i helped her stand and hugged her.- You are back...
Courtney: Yeah i couldn't stay longer.
Shayne: Why?
Courtney: I missed you and i couldn't sleep or do anything...I helped my sister move in and me and Olivia came back home again.
Shayne: Oh, Courtney...I felt the same way. I cried the whole day when you left, Courtney.

She looked at me smiling. She had something on her mind. Something was bothering her. I wanted to tell her all about of the situation with Dana, i just couldn't. She was sad and those words would make her even sadder...She hugged me and cried in my chest really quietly and softly...

Shayne: Hey, Courtney, ah just tell me what is going on?- i looked at her.
Courtney: Ah...i can't Shayne, i just can't tell you now.
Shayne: Why? You can tell me anything...
Courtney: I...-she started crying again.
Shayne: Huh, do you know how sad you make me feel...-i placed my hand on her cheek and wiped a tear off her face with my finger.- I can't watch you sad...
Courtney: When i came back yesterday i went looking for you and i saw you in our favorite coffee shop with a girl...you were kissing...I ran back to your house and left you the note and went home crying.
Shayne: Oh, God it's all my fault, Courtney...Why aren't you angry?
Courtney: When i left i told you it's okay if you start going out with somebody else so i don't blame you for doing it, you were alone and you needed somebody. I guess you found somebody who makes you happy.
Shayne: Huh, no it's not like this...i went out with her because i cried all day and i was trying to get my mind off you. No Courtney, when i saw the note i was so happy you are back, but i felt so awful for doing this...You came back for me and i was kissing another girl...- i started looking at her and a tear fell down my cheek. I was so devastated and just crushed.- Courtney, i love you so much...I'm so sorry...I can't do this without you...please Courtney i'm sorry... ah, don't cry...i don't deserve somebody like you, huh.. I make you sad all the time and you are suffering because of me and my stupid mind...
Courtney: Shayne...i love you too.- as she said those words, she, huh hugged me and then she gently placed her hand on my arm and kissed me so softly...She kissed me and i felt alive again.
Shayne: I love you so much...
