After grabbing my notebook and my heavy coat, I close my locker and turn to Belle.
"Can you hold these?" I ask, handing her my textbooks. She scoffs playfully and takes them from me, allowing me to put on my jacket so I won't freeze to death outside. "So what did I miss in English when I left?" I ask as we exit the building and start our quick walk to my car.
"We mainly covered the characters in the story and a bit of the plot but we didn't go into much detail about it. He also told us that tomorrow we'll be acting out the first scene of the story." She concludes while climbing into my car.
"Ok it sounds like I didn't miss too much."
"Nope, but Mr.Marks was acting odd."
"How so?" I ask, turning my head to look at her while waiting for the light to turn green.
"Well when you finally came into class he honestly looked very relieved, then when you left class he kept glancing at the door as if he was waiting for you to walk back in," she finishes just as the light turns green. I begin to drive again, talking to her about the situation of Mr.Marks. I then pull into my driveway, putting my car and turning off the engine, then climbing out.
"Oh! You never told me why you were late for class!" She yells while we walk up the driveway.
I sigh. "It was Oliver, again."
"What?! That perverted creep harassing you again?!" She basically screams as we enter my house.
"Yes it's him again. He honestly won't take a hint that I don't like him nor that I want to be with him," I respond, trying to keep a calm demeanor about it.
"Do I have to castrate your stalker?!" She yells angrily, her green eyes now a darker shade of green which happens when she's truly enraged.
"You don't need to do that Belle, please calm down." I demand her, shaking her shoulders gently.
"Did he do anything?" She questions me, staring me down.
"He sort of touched me...I then slapped him and he told me I would regret what I did and he'll be watching me closely now." I tell her, feeling uncomfortable thinking about the event. She lets out a defeated sigh and looks at me with sad eyes.
"I'm sorry he's always harassing you. No matter how many times we tell him to stop, he just doesn't. Maybe I could convince Max to beat him up-"
"No!" I interrupt her. "No, ok? I'm not about to get your boyfriend in trouble because of my problems. Besides, it's January. Only five more months until we graduate and I never have to see his face again. So please, don't make this a big deal," I plead to her. She lets out another sigh before speaking.
"If that's what you want." I nod my head in response.
"Alright. Come on, lets do something to get our minds off of this," she smiles and we head off to my room to talk and goof off like we usually do when we hang out together.
**
"You seriously did that?!" I yell out of surprise at Belle.
"Well yea! My parents basically drove me to do it!" She yells back playfully, throwing a piece of popcorn. I scoff and dance a bit to The Goo Goo Dolls.
"I still can't believe you snuck out of your house to see Max." I restate, still surprised that she would do something like sneaking out to see her boyfriend.
"Well when you really like someone, they can make you do crazy things." She replies, biting her lip. "Speaking of that! Is there anyone that tickles your fancy?"
