After putting in my combination correctly when it didn't work the other five times, I open my locker and put my one textbook in and grabbing another. Before I was ready to close it, it's slammed shut, almost catching my hand. I look up to see a hand sprawled across the door and a smug grin on her face.

Lola...

"Hello Zelda," she greets me with a silky tone. My hands clench at the sound of her voice and I feel my face heat up in anger. I spin around and start to walk away, not wanting to see her. I hear the click of her heels quicken and she jumps in front of me. "Now now Zelda," she waves a finger in my face.

"Get that finger out of my face before I break it."

"Ouch, we got a feisty on here." She slowly puts down her hand, keeping at smug look on her face. "I actually wanted to talk to you-"

"Whatever you have to say to me, it's worthless," I interrupt her. She looked surprised after I said that and I push past her, beginning to walk away again.

"What's up with you and Corey, if I may ask?" I hear behind me. I stop in my tracks. I clench my jaw and turn around, starting to walk towards her.

"What have you heard?" I interrogate her with my jaw clenched and our faces inches apart. She takes a step back, but doesn't look intimidated.

"Oh nothing, as you said it's worthless." She responds with a sigh, looking at her nails and flips a piece of hair over shoulder.

"Spill."

She puts a finger to her chin, pretending to think intently. "On second thought, I've changed my mind. Toodles." She gives me a small wave and sarcastic smile. She starts to walk away before I lost all patience and I snapped.

I dropped my textbook and grabbed her backpack, pulling her back. I then push her into the lockers and she hisses out in pain. I then pin her against them by the shoulders.

"I don't know what you heard about Corey and I, but nothing is going on. And you're hearing that from my mouth. Now you listen here and listen closely," I pause and I look her in the dead in the eye, seeing fear clear in her green eyes. "If I hear that you talked or got close to or even looked in Corey's direction, I will hurt you. Stay the hell away from him. I'm not the little girl you can push over anymore. Got it, princess?" I seethe through my teeth. She nods slowly, now with a blank look on her face. I let go of her, and walk over to pick my textbook up from the ground. I then look back to see Lola standing there, blankly staring at me.

I then turn my head forward and head to study hall.

As I walk towards my last period of the day, history, I still felt angry after my confrontation with Lola. I almost entered my classroom before I saw Corey out of the corner of my eye.

I run over to him and grab his wrist, stopping him from going into his class.

"Zelda what-" he starts.

"Just come with me." I start to pull him down the hall and into the girls bathroom, locking ourselves in the handicapped bathroom. His eyes are widen in surprise.

"I'm in the girls room, you know," he states.
"Yes I know, but that's besides the point." I tell him. "Look, remember when I told you I would tell you what happened with Lola and I?" He nods his head in response. "Well I'm going to tell you what happened."

"Well I would hurry since we're not skipping," he says in an anxious tone. I give him a look of annoyance and he mumble an apology.

"Well, in elementary, second grade to be exact, I didn't have many friends, actually, I didn't have any," I start out. Before I could continue he interrupts.
